Abstract:
A laser welding method includes providing a storage medium containing stored data about possible welding defects and associated repair welding parameters, welding a workpiece with a laser to produce weldings on the workpiece, monitoring the produced weldings for defective weldings, and, in response to detecting a defective welding from among the monitored weldings: comparing the defective welding with the stored data about possible welding defects; selecting repair welding parameters from among the associated repair welding parameters based on the comparison; and then performing a repair welding in a region of the detected defective welding in accordance with the selected repair welding parameters.

Abstract:
An electric toothbrush is disclosed. The toothbrush includes a handle part and an attachment part, wherein the handle part has a housing, in which a reservoir for a care substance, a pump for delivering the care substance and a drive unit for driving the pump are arranged. The housing is divided into a liquid-tight first chamber and a second chamber by a partition extending in the longitudinal direction of the housing. The first chamber housing the drive unit is arranged in the first chamber and the reservoir and the pump are arranged in the second chamber.
Abstract:
A method for laser fusion cutting of a metal workpiece including applying a laser beam to the workpiece, where a kerf is melted in the workpiece by the laser beam and a laser beam diameter in a working point is configured to expel molten material from the kerf without cutting gas.
Abstract:
An electrical device has at least one flexible conductor (2) which features an electrically insulating embedding (3) and which is embedded in the wall and has a plurality of electrical contact areas (4), the embedding (3) being removed from the contact areas (4) on the side of the wall (4) facing the surface, the contact areas (4) bounding the surface of the wall. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing such an electrical device (1).

3-(3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimido)cinnamic esters I ##STR1## (R.sup.1 =H, halogen; R.sup.2, R.sup.3 =halogen; R.sup.4 =C-organic radical, R.sup.5 =H, CH.sub.3) are prepared by reducing 3-nitrocinnamic esters II ##STR2## with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst and condensing the resulting 3-aminocinnamic esters III ##STR3## with a 3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalic anhydride IV ##STR4## and are valuable active ingredients in crop protection.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for measuring the electrical resistance of a glow plug, wherein a test current is set by closed-loop control to a constant value using a constant-current source, and is directed through the plug. A value of the electrical resistance of the glow plug is determined by evaluating a feedback signal of the constant-current source.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a diesel fuel filter heater comprising at least one PTC element, in a motor vehicle. According to the invention, a glow plug control device is used to generate an effective voltage from a vehicle system voltage using pulse width modulation, which is then applied at the filter heater.

Abstract:
Disclosed is an electric toothbrush (1) comprising a handle part (2) and an attachment part (3), e.g. a bristle head (4). Preferably, the bristle head (4) can be driven by a first drive unit (6.1) encompassing a first electric motor (7.1). A reservoir (8.1) for a care substance is connected to a duct (11.1) extending into the bristle head (4) by means of a pump (10.1) which can be driven by a second drive unit (6.2) encompassing a second electric motor (7.2). The first and the second electric motor (7.1, 7.2) are powered by a disposable or a rechargeable battery (12). A housing (16) of the handle part (2) is subdivided into a first and a second chamber (19, 20) by means of a liquid-tight partition (17) that extends in the longitudinal direction of the handle part (2). The first and the second drive unit (6.1, 6.2) and the disposable or rechargeable battery (12) are arranged in the first chamber (19) while the reservoir (8.1) and the pump (10.1) are disposed in the second chamber (20). The pump (10.1) can be driven by the second drive unit (6.1) via a lever (15), pumping movements (A′-B′) being transmitted from the lever (15) to the pump (10.1) via an integrated soft membrane (18) of the partition (17) by means of non-positive contact or via a liquid-tight slide passage (21) in the partition (17).
