    摘要: A compact superconductor of the empirical composition YBa.sub.2 Cu.sub.3 O.sub.7-x .times.zCuO, in which z is a number from 0.08 to 0.84, consists of elongated crystals grown together irregularly. It has a density of at least 5.9 g/cm.sup.3, in particular at least 6.02 g/cm.sup.3. It is prepared by mixing a fine-grained superconductor powder of the composition YBa.sub.2 Cu.sub.3 O.sub.7-x with 1 to 10% by weight of CuO, compressing the mixture under a pressure of at least 1 MPa to give a compact, and heating this compact at 940.degree.-985.degree. C. for at least 5 hours.

    摘要: A process for operating an internal-combustion engine with a supercharger which can be cut out, and a device for carrying out the process are disclosed. The engine has, aside from the supercharger or compressor which can be cut in or out as desired, an exhaust-gas return arrangement. No exhaust gas can be conveyed back into the intake line when the compressor is cut in and therefore when there is a pressure rise at the cylinder inlet to above atmospheric pressure and above the pressure prevailing in an exhaust-gas line. The return of exhaust gas into the intake line is prevented in such a way that an exhaust-gas return line opens, opposite a supercharger delivery line from the supercharger, into an intake line to the engine. A shut-off member is arranged at this junction so that during suction operation of the engine the shut-off member closes the supercharger delivery line and during supercharging operation the shut-off member closes the intake line, above the supercharger delivery line, and the exhaust-gas return line.

    摘要: A special node is used in a distributed time-triggered cluster. The special node comprises protocol functionality to establish a time base to use in communicating with a plurality of end nodes and to source timing-related frames to the plurality of end nodes in accordance with the distributed time-triggered communication protocol. The protocol functionality establishes the time base without regard to any timing-related frame sourced from any of the plurality of end nodes. In one embodiment, the protocol functionality of the special node is implemented in a low complexity manner. In one embodiment, the cluster comprises a star topology and the special node performs at least one of semantic filtering and rate enforcement. In another embodiment, the cluster comprises a bus or peer-to-peer topology and each end node is coupled to the communication channel using a low-complexity special local bus guardian.
