摘要: A thin film transistor structure for a liquid crystal display device of the active matrix type, wherein leak current is suppressed to stabilize the threshold voltage and the dispersion in the gate capacitance coupling and the channel length are minimized, is disclosed. The liquid crystal display device comprises a substrate having picture element electrodes arranged in a matrix and switching elements for driving the picture element electrodes, another substrate having opposing electrodes thereon and opposed to the former substrate, and a liquid crystal layer held between the substrates. Each switching element has a multi-gate structure wherein two thin film transistors are connected in series and gate electrodes are electrically connected to each other. Each thin film transistor has a lightly doped drain structure wherein a low density impurity region of the same conductivity type as that of a source region or a drain region is provided at least between the source or drain region and a channel region. At least one of a plurality of such low density impurity regions may have a length or a density different from that of the other low density impurity regions so as to assure sufficient on-current while suppressing the leak current.

摘要: A silencer for a motorcycle has a front cup which has a tapered tubular shape, a center sleeve which is connected to the front cup, and a tail cup which is connected to the center sleeve. Since the front cup has a tapered tubular shape, the front cup is arranged such that a front end of the front cup is positioned in the vicinity of a main frame. A distal end of the silencer can be shifted frontward in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle compared to a silencer of a prior art. As a result, a length of the silencer can be increased while avoiding interference between the silencer and legs of a rider and hence, silencing performance of the silencer can be enhanced. Since the distal end of the silencer can be shifted frontward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the concentration of a mass can be acquired.

摘要: The present invention is regarding plants and plant storage organs thereof in which GLP-1 derivatives are accumulated, and methods of producing them. The transgenic plants and plant storage organs thereof accumulate tandem repeated GLP-1 derivatives cleavable with intestinal digestive enzyme to monomeric molecules and are produced by methods comprising: integrating into vectors linked DNAs which comprise tandem repeated DNAs encoding the GLP-1 derivative with trypsin resistance in which the amino acid in the 26th position is Gln, the amino acid in the 34th position is Asn or Asp, and C-terminal consists of Arg or Lys to produce monomeric molecules; introducing the vectors into plant cells; and redifferentiating the obtained transformants. The edible transgenic plants and plant storage organs are useful for treating diabetes and can be ingested by diabetic patients.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for highly producing a recombinant protein in a plant storage organ and a GLP-1 derivative. The plant storage organ in which the recombinant protein is highly produced is obtained by transformation with the use of a vector which comprises a recombinant protein gene, a cytokinin-related gene, a drug-resistant gene and a removable DNA element, in which the cytokinin-related gene and the drug-resistant gene exist in the positions so that they can behave together with the DNA element, while the recombinant protein to be expressed in the plant storage organ exists in the position so that it would not behave together with the DNA element. The GLP-1 is produced by using the method, and a derivative having been stabilized against enzymatic digestion is further provided.

摘要: The control apparatus for controlling a voltage transforming apparatus having a transformer, power switching elements disposed in a primary side, and synchronous-rectifying switching elements disposed in a secondary side includes a judging circuit making a judgment as to whether or not an output current of the voltage transforming apparatus is smaller than a specified current on the basis of a primary-side current of the transformer and an inhibition circuit inhibiting the synchronous-rectifying switching elements from performing their synchronous-rectifying control operation when the judging circuit judges that the output current is smaller than the specified current. The judging circuit makes the judgment on the basis of the primary-side current flowing through the primary coil of the transformer immediately before the power switching elements are turned off.

摘要: An injection molding machine for low-melting point metallic material has an injection mechanism having a tip portion, a melting cylinder and a rear portion holding a drive mechanism. The tip portion has a weighing chamber and a nozzle member feeding a mold. The melting cylinder is held at an oblique angle to promote gravity flow of the molten metal toward the tip portion. The melting cylinder encloses an agitating and injection mechanism that rotates and advances or retreats freely within the cylinder. One agitating and injection mechanism has a hollow shaft surrounding an injection rod tipped by an injection plunger that moves lengthwise in the shaft and agitating wings disposed around the tip end of the hollow shaft. The wings reach the inner sides of the cylinder and rotate. The plunger may extend beyond the shaft to be inserted in the weighing chamber.

摘要: The purpose of this invention is to prevent sludge from flowing into a measuring chamber by partitioning the inside of a melt cylinder into a melt stirring part and a molten metal flow passage part, and to stabilize supply of the metallic material and measurement of the molten metal. A nozzle member 14 of which the inside of the rear part is formed into a measuring chamber 13 is attached to the tip of a melt cylinder 11. The end face of the opening periphery of the measuring chamber 13 of the nozzle member 14 faced to the inside of the melt cylinder is projectingly formed into a ring-shaped bearing 14b. A hollow stirring shaft 16 provided with stirring blades 15 on the outer periphery is supported by the bearing 14b and a bearing member 21 in the rear end of the melt cylinder so as to be freely rotatable with a suction port 25 bored in the side wall of the tip part. An injection rod is put into the stirring shaft and a plunger 17 with a ring valve on the tip is fitted into the measuring chamber 13 so as to be freely movable forwards and backwards. The inside of the melt cylinder is partitioned into a melt stirring part A and a molten metal reservoir B by the stirring shaft 16. The meting cylinder 11 is installed slantwise on the machine base with the nozzle member side downward to use the tip part as a sludge receiver 27.

摘要: A system for displaying images of varying resolution (i.e., XGA, SVGA, VGA) on a pixel-addressed screen surrounds selected-resolution images with blanked rows above and below the image and blanked columns to the left and the right of the displayed image. During the vertical blanking period, switches in the vertical scanning circuit blank non-image rows above and below the image, and, during horizontal scanning, switches in the horizontal scanning circuits blank columns on the left and right of each horizontal line so that the display image is bounded by a blanked screen portion. A black signal from a black-signal generator drives each blanked pixel to frame the displayed image in black.
