摘要： An amide derivative represented by the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.1-40 hydrocarbon; R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.1-6 alkylene; R.sup.3 represents H, OH or alkoxyl; R.sup.4 represents a C.sub.1-39 hydrocarbon; R.sup.5 represents ##STR2## with the proviso that when R.sup.5 represents ##STR3## R.sup.3 does not represent OH; and a composition of the amide derivative for topical application to human skin. The composition improves the barrier function of the stratum corneum, providing improvement and prevention of dermatitis, skin roughness, or similar disorders.

The microwave heating appliance includes a microwave generating unit, a waveguide for transmitting a microwave from the microwave generating unit, a heating chamber for housing a heated subject heated by the microwave, a rotating antenna for radiating the microwave to the heating chamber, a driving unit for rotating and driving the rotating antenna, a temperature distribution detecting unit for detecting a temperature distribution in the heating chamber, and a controlling unit for controlling a direction of the rotating antenna based on a detected result of the temperature distribution detecting unit so that a sharp part of radiation directivity of the rotating antenna in a direction decided based on the detected result.

摘要： A heating and cooking apparatus has a detection sensor for sensing the state of heating so as to automatically control the heating operation. A partition is disposed so as to be opened to the inside of an auxiliary passage which has an inlet located at a position in the vicinity of the circumference of an impeller of a cooling fan for cooling a magnetron provided on the back side of a heating chamber and through which steam from the heating chamber is discharged to the outside. Air supplied by the fan is blown off into the auxiliary passage so as to generate a venturi action, thus promoting the flow of steam in the auxiliary passage. The detection sensor is disposed in the auxiliary passage at a position in the vicinity of a region where air is blown off so as to accurately sense the state of steam generated from a material to be heated.
