摘要： An illumination apparatus is disclosed which efficiently irradiates an irradiation surface without destroying the symmetry of an illuminance distribution at the irradiation surface. A light source is displaced from a center of curvature of a spherical mirror in a direction in a displacement plane which includes an axis of symmetry of the spherical mirror so as to form a light source image at a position off the light source. Due to this, a ray from the spherical mirror passes off the light source (i.e., the position of the light source image), and therefore, a reflection ray is not shielded, absorbed nor otherwise disturbed by the light source, which in turn prevents deterioration in the efficiency of utilization of light. Further, the light source, the spherical minor and the lens are assembled into a light source unit which is inclined at an angle about a principal point of the lens with respect to a central axis of the irradiation surface and displaced a certain distance in a displacement direction which is perpendicular to the central axis. Hence, the illuminance distribution at the irradiation surface is adjusted and the symmetry of the illuminance distribution at the irradiation surface is improved.

摘要： In a suspension provided with a load beam and a flexure, a circular first reference hole is formed in a portion of the flexure nearer to one end thereof than the center, while an oval second reference hole is formed in a portion of the flexure nearer to the other end. The load beam is provided with first and second burred holes corresponding to the first and second reference holes, respectively, in position. Each burred hole has a flange portion on its inner peripheral portion, projecting above the surface of the load beam. The flange portion of the first burred hole is fitted into the first reference hole with the flexure put on top of the load beam in the thickness direction. The flange portion of the second burred hole is fitted into the second reference hole. By doing this, the relative positions of the load beam and the flexure are restricted.

摘要： For a balance adjustment due to a reduction in size and weight of an actuator, an arm portion, an axis attaching portion, and a coil supporting portion are arranged so that the centers of gravity on the coil side are located on a straight line connecting a rotational center and the center of gravity on the head side. Further, the improvement of an assembling efficiency of a VCM, an increase in torque, a one-touch fixing of an FPC connecting band, a noise prevention of a read pattern, and an insulation between the base and cover due to a bias of an MR read head are accomplished. A sector mark is detected by comparing a peak detection pulse and its reference polarity signal. A redundancy is provided to a reference detection polarity signal so that a read signal can be detected even if any one of the read signals of the sector marks is dropped out. A gray code detecting section for recognizing a cylinder address also detects on the basis of a peak detection pulse and a polarity signal due to the reading of a gray code. A memory space to store a program is divided into an ROM space of a small electric power consumption and an RAM space of a large electric power consumption and stores each peculiar program.

摘要： A sheet feed device for feeding a sheet to a printer or similar image recorder which records an image on the sheet. A table is disposed below and operatively connected to the image recorder. A plurality of trays are received in the table, and each is loaded with a stack of sheets. The trays each has a base disposed in the tray and an elevation plate elevatably mounted on the base. A sheet feed mechanism feeds the sheets from a desired one of the trays to the image recorder. A drive mechanism is associated with each of the trays for moving the base in a predetermined direction over a predetermined distance within the tray. When the sheet is deviated in position from an image to be recorded, the device automatically corrects the deviation within a short period of time.

The surface mount antenna includes: a substrate including a dielectric material or a magnetic material as a main material; a feed radiation conductor formed on the substrate, one end of the feed radiation conductor being a first feed end to be supplied with power, and the other end being a first open end; and a parasitic radiation conductor formed on the substrate at a distance from the feed radiation conductor, one end of the parasitic radiation conductor being a second feed end to be supplied with power from the feed radiation conductor through electromagnetic coupling, and the other end being a second open end. A region having a dielectric constant or a magnetic permeability lower than that of the main material of the substrate is provided between the feed radiation conductor and the parasitic radiation conductor.
