    摘要: A controlled variable-calculating apparatus and method that can easily calculate a controlled variable from one or more input variables and that can appropriately learn control characteristics for the calculation of the controlled variable. The control characteristics are represented as a surface embedded in an (n+1)-dimensional space, and are used to control one controlled variable from n variables. The control characteristics are approximated by an assemblage of flat planes corresponding to subspaces obtained by dividing an n-dimensional input space. For example, a two-dimensional input space defined by the interior temperature and the amount of sunlight is divided into 15 subspaces. Flat planes 1-15 are made to correspond to the subspaces, respectively. If the interior temperature and the amount of sunlight are entered, a decision is made as to which subspace the environmental conditions belong. The airflow is then calculated using an equation for any one of the flat planes 1-15. If the airflow is needs to be modified, the equation for the flat plane corresponding to the corresponding subspace is updated.

First and second target blow-out temperature calculating portions, which include neural network, input the room setpoint temperatures and the temperature data. Then it calculates Dr side and Pa side target blow-out temperatures (TAO(Dr), TAO(Pa)) relative to each air-conditioning zones by using a neural network. Air-mixing doors separately adjusts the temperatures of conditioned air blown out from Dr side air passage and Pa side air passage to be the first and second target blow-out temperatures. Here, the neural network has the learning function, which adjusts its output to be desired data (teacher signal). Therefore, the output at a specific input condition can be adjusted without temperature interference between each zone.

The degree of the opening of the air mix damper is controlled in accordance with the cooling capacity at the evaporator sensed by an after-evaporator temperature sensor so that a target value of the temperature of the air discharged into the cabin is obtained. A correction of the degree of opening of the air mix damper is done by estimating an actual temperature at the after-evaporator sensor during a transient state of the system between the ON and OFF conditions of a compressor, so that a desired setting of the air conditioning state is maintained. The target air temperature is not corrected if it is determined that the system is in a heating mode.

During a predetermined period of time in the initial period following the change, the temperature blown from the first passage 6 is determined based upon a blow-out temperature of the second passage 7 and a desired blow-out temperature TAOV of the first passage 6. At the time of changing the mode, therefore, even when a first temperature sensor 25 is detecting a temperature near a desired blow-out temperature of the first passage 6 before the mode is changed, the air of the present temperature is not blown from the first passage 6 but, instead, a by-pass opening/closing damper 15 is opened, so that the air of a low temperature is blown from the first passage 6.
