    摘要: A charge/discharge control system for controlling charge/discharge of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a positive electrode including a composite oxide containing lithium and nickel. This system includes a charge/discharge circuit for discharging the secondary battery and charging the secondary battery with power from an external power source; and a control unit for controlling the charge/discharge circuit such that the voltage of the secondary battery is within a voltage range having a predetermined end-of-discharge voltage as a lower limit value and a predetermined end-of-charge voltage as an upper limit value. The control unit is configured to change at least the end-of-discharge voltage according to a variable related to deterioration of the secondary battery.

    摘要: A battery case houses an electrode group formed by winding a positive electrode plate where a positive electrode active material layer is provided on a positive electrode current collector and a negative electrode plate where a negative electrode active material layer is provided on a negative electrode current collector with a porous insulating layer interposed therebetween. The current collectors are made of metal foil of an identical material. An end of the positive electrode current collector has a first exposed portion provided with no positive electrode active material layer. An end of the negative electrode current collector has a second exposed portion provided with no negative electrode active material layer. The exposed portions and project from the porous insulating layer in opposite directions. The first and second exposed portions and are connected to positive and negative electrode current collector plates, respectively.

    摘要: An electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a sheet-like current collector and an active material layer including a first layer and a second layer which are adhering to a surface of the current collector in this order. The first layer includes a carbon material that absorbs or releases lithium ions reversibly at a first potential, while the second layer includes a transition metal oxide that absorbs or releases lithium ions reversibly at a second potential higher than the first potential. The difference between the first potential and the second potential is 0.1 V or more, and the ratio of the thickness T1 of the first layer to the thickness T2 of the second layer, i.e., the ratio T1/T2, is from 0.33 to 75.
