摘要： The head-protecting airbag apparatus includes an airbag folded up in an elongative contour for covering a window of vehicle upon deployment, and a plurality of cases arranged along the length direction of the folded-up airbag for housing the airbag. The airbag apparatus is mounted on the vehicle by attaching mounting portions of the airbag along an upper periphery of the window together with the cases. The cases are connected by a bendable connecting member and thereby permitting the airbag stored in the cases to be transported in a bent state at the connecting member. The connecting member announces the occurrence of twisting of the airbag between the cases by shortening the distance between the cases for preventing the airbag from being mounted on the vehicle in a twisted state when the airbag apparatus is unfolded for mounting on the vehicle.

摘要： A head protecting airbag according to the invention has a plurality of mounting portions which is mounted at an upper edge part of the airbag and which is used to mount the airbag to an upper edge part of a vehicle window. The airbag is formed by a hollow weave consisting of warp and weft threads. The mounting portion includes a mounting hole. The mounting portion includes an adjacent marginal portion which extends from a marginal border portion and is formed of a hollow weave hollow-woven as a single-ply so as to connect an interior-side wall portion to an exterior-side wall portion, so that the adjacent marginal portion constitutes a marginal part of the mounting hole. The mounting portion also includes an outer edge portion which is disposed on an outer circumferential side of the adjacent marginal portion and has two cloth pieces formed of the adjacent marginal portion by being separated into an interior-side part and an exterior-side part which are then woven.

摘要： A head protecting airbag includes a bag body and an inner tube. The inner tube is provided within the bag body so as to be separated with respect to an inner peripheral surface of an inflation main part of the bag body so as provide a protecting area directly therebelow and is supported by a support cloth which is joined to an internal side of the inflation main part around an outer periphery thereof. The support cloth is provided integrally with the inflation main part as a substantially tubular shape which has a shorter longitudinal length than that of the inner tube and which can wrap up the inner tube, when outer peripheral parts of interior and exterior wall portions which are located on an upper edge of the inflation main part above the inner tube are joined to each other.

摘要： A seat cushion airbag apparatus is applied to a vehicle seat having a seat portion. The seat portion has a seat cushion that is supported from below by a support portion of a seat frame. The apparatus raises a seat face of the vehicle seat, thereby restraining an object on the seat face to prevent the object from moving forward. The apparatus includes an airbag, an inflation fluid generator, and a contact preventing member. The airbag is arranged between the support portion and the cushion. The inflation fluid generator supplies inflation fluid for inflating the airbag, thereby raising the seat face. The contact preventing member is arranged between the support portion and the airbag. A part of the contact preventing member that is in the vicinity of the support portion is flexible. The contact preventing member prevents the airbag from contacting the support portion when the airbag is inflated.

摘要： A head-protecting airbag according to the present invention is normally folded and housed in an upper edge of windows inside a vehicle, and deployable downward from the upper edge of windows upon inflow of inflation gas to cover the vehicle's inner side of the windows. The airbag internally includes a tether joined to the vehicle's inner side wall and the vehicle's outer side wall for regulating the clearance between the inner side wall and the outer side wall as the airbag is completely inflated. The tether is disposed along the front-rear direction of the vehicle. A joint portion of the tether to the vehicle's inner side wall is located at lower level than a joint portion of the tether to the vehicle's outer side wall as viewed in a vertical section taken along the vehicle's transverse direction. The head-protecting airbag of the present invention is able to expand along the windows.

摘要： The head-protecting airbag device (M1) includes an airbag (12) provided with a gas admissive portion (13) and a non-admissive portion (23). The gas admissive portion (13) includes a gas feed passage (14) for feeding inflation gas G toward both front and rearwards of the vehicle, and a plurality of vertical chambers (17) juxtaposed along front-rear direction of the vehicle. Each of the vertical chambers (17) includes a communication port at its upper end for communicating with the gas feed passage (14). The substantial lengths of a vehicle's outer wall (13b) and an inner wall (13a) of the airbag (12) are differentiated from each other by a belt (31) in the periphery (19) of the communication port (18). Thus the periphery (19) of the communication port (18) guides inflation gas (G) obliquely down and toward the vehicle's exterior (O) when inflation gas (G) flows into the vertical chamber (17) via the communication port. The head-protecting airbag device (M1) is made compact and improves workability in the mounting work on the vehicle while ensuring downward deployment of the airbag (12) along the window (W).
