    摘要: After diffracting laser light by a diffraction grating to separate the light into three beams of a 0-order light and ±1st order lights, the three beams are enlarged by a beam shaping/PBS synthesizing prism to shape an elliptic light intensity distribution thereof into a substantially circular light intensity distribution. In this case, it is assumed that a direction for enlarging diameters in shaping the three beams into the substantially circular light intensity distribution by the beam shaping/PBS synthesizing prism is an x-axis and an axis crossing a plane including the x-axis and an optical axis at right angles is a y-axis. At this time, the diffraction grating is formed along an xy-plane including the x-axis and the y-axis, and an angle formed by the xy-plane and the optical axis is set to a predetermined angle other than a right angle so that the grating formed along the xy-plane is substantially parallel to the x-axis.

    摘要: An optical pick-up emits three laser beams onto an optical disk. The three laser beams are reflected on the optical disk and incident to a condenser lens. The three laser beams are further incident to a holographic device via the condenser lens. The surface of the holographic device is divided into a first and a second hologram region by a bisecting line oriented almost parallel to the track formed on the optical disk. The holographic device generates ±1th-order diffracted light beams on the hologram regions. The ±1th-order diffracted light beams are incident to a photodetector having a plurality of photo-detecting segments corresponding to the ±1th-order diffracted light beams. The photodetector detects signals recorded on the optical disk based on the ±1th-order diffracted light beams.

    摘要: An information processing apparatus, information processing method and computer program product cooperate in detecting a first target object contained in image information. Image information of an image is received through an interface. A processing circuit determines whether a first target object in the image information has not yet been detected. A determination is also made regarding whether a second target object in the image information has been detected. An image quality parameter of the image is modified to assist subsequent detection attempts in recognizing the first target object when the first target object has not yet been detected but the second target object has been detected.

A tone curve that defines an output pixel value with respect to an input pixel value is generated by a line that passes through a pixel-value-conversion coordinate point defined by pixel values indicating the representative points selected from the correction image and the reference image, which are set as input and output values. This line is generated by a spline curve. The pixel value of the correction image is converted based on the generated tone curve.

A power converting apparatus of the inventive concept includes I-shaped block cores, each being made of a magnetic material; and E-shaped cores, each being produced by combining two L-shaped magnetic materials to each of the I-shaped cores. In each of the E-shaped cores, the block core is defined as a central leg, the other two legs are defined as a first outside leg and a second outside leg, respectively, and a closed magnetic path is configured by two E-shaped cores combined such that one of respective central legs in the two E-shaped cores, one of respective first outside legs therein, and one of respective second outside legs therein are caused to face the other of the central legs, the other of the first outside legs, and the other of the second outside legs.
