Abstract: Methods and systems for seamless adjustment of treatment are disclosed. A determination is made as to whether to intervene with a patient's treatment. Implanted device memory data is acquired over a pre-specified time period. Risk status is determined from the device memory data. Another external device memory data is acquired over a pre-specified time period. A determination is made as to whether to adjust treatment of the patient in response to the risk status, the data acquired from the implanted device memory and the external device memory data.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and techniques are described that use electric field imaging (often referred to as the sensed stimulation artifact representative of a delivered stimulus) as an informative feedback signal to provide closed loop control of electrical stimulation therapy. In some examples, the electric field imaging may be used in combination with other feedback signals, such as ECAP do monitor and adjust the delivered electrical stimulation therapy.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for automatically calibrating a reference orientation of an implantable medical device (IMD) within a patient. In one example, sensors of an IMD sense a plurality of orientation vectors of the IMD with respect to a gravitational field. Processing circuitry of the IMD processes the plurality of orientation vectors to identify an upright vector that corresponds to an upright posture of the patient. The processing circuitry classifies the plurality of orientation vectors with respect to the upright vector to define a sagittal plane of the patient and a transverse plane of the patient. The processing circuitry determines, based on the upright vector, the sagittal plane, and the transverse plane, a reference orientation of the IMD within the patient. As the orientation of the IMD within the patient changes over time, the processing circuitry may recalibrate its reference orientation and accurately detect a posture of the patient.

Abstract: A medical system including processing circuitry configured to assess a blood glucose level of a patient. The processing circuitry is configured to use a cardiac signal indicative of the electrical activity of the patient's heart and a temperature signal indicative of a body temperature of the patient. The cardiac signal may be, for example, an electrocardiogram (ECG), an electrogram (EGM), or another measure. The medical system is configured to determine a representative cardiac measure indicative of the cardiac signal and determine a representative temperature measure indicative of the temperature signal. The medical system is configured to assess when a blood glucose level of the patient may be outside a euglycemic range based on the representative cardiac measure and the representative temperature measure determined.

Abstract: A system includes an implantable medical device (IMD) and processing circuitry. The IMD includes sensing circuitry configured to sense cardiac electrical signals of a patient, and therapy delivery circuitry configured to deliver demand cardiac pacing to a heart of the patient based on the cardiac electrical signals. The processing circuitry is configured to: determine, for each of a plurality of time units, based on the cardiac electrical signals and the delivery of demand cardiac pacing during the time units, a plurality of metrics indicative of a need for continued delivery of demand cardiac pacing to the heart of the patient. The plurality of metrics includes a metric associated with a duration of one or more pacing episodes during the time unit. The processing circuitry is further configured to generate a graphical representation of the plurality of metrics of the plurality of time units for presentation to a user.

Abstract: An implantable medical system includes an implantable catheter advanceable into a coronary sinus of a patient's heart. A guide element and an implantable lead receivable in the side lumen is advanceable through an angled opening of the catheter to be deflected laterally away from the catheter at the deflection angle to position the at least one testing electrode or at least one pacing electrode, respectively, in a myocardium of the patient's heart when the distal portion of the catheter is positioned in the coronary sinus.

Abstract: A method for differentiating heart failure risk scores that includes receiving a current data transmission and acquiring patient metrics from a remote device, determining a daily heart failure risk score for each day occurring during a time period from a previous received data transmission to the current received data transmission based on the acquired patient metrics, determining a maximum daily heart failure risk score of the determined daily heart failure risk scores during a lookback window prior to the current received data transmission, determining a heart failure risk status alert for the received data transmission based on the temporal proximity of the determined maximum heart failure risk score and receipt of the current data transmission, selecting a type of notification based on the heart failure risk status differentiation, and indicating the transmission heart failure risk status and the heart failure risk status differentiation via the selected type of notification.

Abstract: In situations in which an implantable medical device (IMD) (e.g., an extravascular ICD) is co-implanted with a leadless pacing device (LPD), it may be important that the IMD knows when the LPD is delivering pacing, such as anti-tachycardia pacing (ATP). Techniques are described herein for detecting, with the IMD and based on the sensed electrical signal, pacing pulses and adjusting operation to account for the detected pulses, e.g., blanking the sensed electrical signal or modifying a tachyarrhythmia detection algorithm. In one example, the IMD includes a pace pulse detector that detects, based on the processing of sensed electrical signals, delivery of a pacing pulse from a second implantable medical device and blank, based on the detection of the pacing pulse, the sensed electrical signal to remove the pacing pulse from the sensed electrical signal.

Abstract: The exemplary systems and methods may monitor one or more signals to be used to assess the hemodynamic status of a patient. The one or more signals may be used to calculate, or determine, a plurality of pulse transit times. The plurality of pulse transit times may be used to determine hemodynamic status values that may be indicative of a patient's aggregate hemodynamic status.
