摘要: A light-emitting diode (“LED”) package includes a package housing defining a space. The LED package includes a first LED disposed with the space defined by the package housing, and configured to emit a first light having a blue wavelength range. The blue wavelength range has a peak wavelength ranging from about 440 nm to about 480 nm. The LED package includes a second LED disposed within the space, and configured to emit a second light having a red wavelength range. The red wavelength range has a peak wavelength ranging from about 610 nm to about 680 nm. The LED package includes a phosphor filler filling the space and configured to absorb a portion of the first light to emit a third light having a green wavelength range. The green wavelength range has a peak wavelength ranging from about 510 nm to about 570 nm.

摘要: According to examples, a depth sensing apparatus may include an illumination source to output a light beam onto a polarizing beam separation element (PBSE). The PBSE may generate a right hand circularly polarized (RCP) beam and a left hand circularly polarized (LCP) beam to be projected onto a target area, in which the RCP beam and the LCP beam may create an interference with respect to each other. The depth sensing apparatus also includes an imaging component to capture an image of the target area with the RCP beam and the LCP beam projected on the target area, in which the captured image is to be analyzed for depth sensing of the target area. The depth sensing apparatus further includes a polarizer that may increase an intensity of the interference pattern.

摘要: A Pancharatnam-Berry phase (PBP) lens includes a substrate and one or more liquid crystal material layers on the substrate. The one or more liquid crystal material layers include a plurality of zones at different distances from a center of the PBP lens, where different zones of the plurality of zones of the one or more liquid crystal material layers have different liquid crystal twist angles along a surface-normal direction of the substrate and different phase delays for surface-normal incident light. The PBP lens can have an f-number less than 1, and can be used in a near-eye display system to project display images to an eye of a user at an efficiency greater than 75% at a peripheral region of the PBP lens.
