The working medium is heated in a boiler (6) to a low temperature, preferably boiling point at a low pressure, steam is taken from the boiler (6) to a pressure chamber (7, 8), in which the steam is heated to a higher temperature. The vibration absorber may be used in vehicles which have a natural vibration in the low frequency range.
