The system includes left and right wheel speed sensors associated with respective vehicle wheels and generating left and right wheel speed signals, and a transmission output shaft speed sensor generating a transmission output shaft speed signal. A controller is coupled to the wheel speed sensors and the transmission output speed sensor, and determines a reference wheel speed for one of the left or right wheels as a function of the other of the left or right wheel speed signal and the transmission output shaft speed signal. The controller controls the safety system in response to the determined reference wheel speed.

    摘要: A method is provided for assuring that only the correct version of a software update is permitted to be installed in a computer controlled module, such as a vehicle controller. Each version of the software is embedded with a unique identifier, and each software update has an embedded list of the identifiers of the software versions which it is authorized to update or replace. A flashloader is used to determine if the identifier of the software in the controller is present in the list embedded in a proposed update, and installs the update if a match is found. Checksums and encryption of the identifiers can be used to enhance reprogramming integrity.

In addition, there are positioned normal to these two sheets, two parallel spaced substantially flat edges. In the second embodiment of the invention, the sheet is a substantially rectangular thin sheet of plastic having an edge having a series of curves. There is also a second oppositely spaced flat edge and two oppositely spaced substantially flat edges positioned normal to the first edge and the second edge. The third embodiment is oval shaped and is designed to fit around a mask as well.
