    摘要: A method of facilitating coordinated multi-point communication (CoMP) in a wireless communications network including at least a first base station (BS) and a second BS, a plurality of user equipment (UEs) being associated with the second BS, includes generating, at the first BS, a status request message for requesting the second BS to report one or more types of status information, the status request message including at least one of an aggregation indicator and conditional reporting indicator, the aggregation indicator specifying whether the second BS is to report individual measurements or aggregated measurements to the first BS, the conditional reporting indicator indicating to the second BS to report measurements corresponding to the one or more types of resource status information to the first BS only when one or more conditions are met; and sending the status request message to the second BS.

The first information indicates commitments regarding transmission power by the second base station. The second information indicates for at least one of the first and second base stations which subframes in a series of subframes will be special subframes. Each special subframe has at least one of less transmit power than a maximum transmission power and less data than a fully loaded subframe.

    摘要: A method of configuring user equipment in a wireless communication network to operate to receive a dynamically changing coordinated multipoint transmission from one or more transmission point in said network, a computer program product and network control node operable to perform that method. The method comprises: determining, for the user equipment, a set of two or more transmission points from which the user equipment may receive a transmission and allocating them to a coordinated multipoint transmission measurement set associated with the user equipment; allocating a set of modes of operation of the transmission points in the coordinated multipoint transmission measurement set for communication with the user equipment; associating a codepoint to each mode in the allocated set of modes of operation of the set of transmission points to form a codebook; and informing the user equipment of the codebook. Aspects and embodiments described recognise that without significantly increasing the number of bits required in a downlink control information message, dynamic switching among some preselected or preconfigured coordinated multipoint transmission schemes can be efficiently supported within a network. The configuration of code points interpreted by user equipment may be set on a user equipment by user equipment basis and can be preconfigured by RRC signalling semi-statically.

    摘要: One embodiment of the invention provides a mechanism to assist the eNodeB of the second cell, for example macrocell eNodeB or femtocell eNodeB to determine the configuration of ABSs. To be specific, the eNodeB of the first cell sends a request signaling to the eNodeB of the second cell to inform of the requirement for ABSs. The eNodeB of the second cell receives the request signaling from the eNodeB of the first cell, and then it determines the pattern of ABSs and sends the pattern of ABSs in the form of bitmap through a signaling to the eNodeB of the first cell. As the requirement for ABSs is determined by the eNodeB of the first cell on the basis of the number of the UEs and/or the traffic load of the UEs which are near the edge of coverage area of the picocell, it can help the eNodeB of the second cell to determine the configuration of ABSs, i.e. the pattern of ABSs, so that the efficient resource utilization is achieved.
