摘要: An optical device for modifying a light distribution pattern of a light source is presented. The light source radiates first light beams to a first geometric quarter-space and second light beams to a second geometric quarter-space, where the first and second quarter-spaces are defined by mutually perpendicular geometric planes one of which constitutes a boundary between the first and second geometric quarter-spaces. The optical device may include a lens-section for modifying a light distribution pattern of the first light beams and a reflector surface for reflecting at least a part of the second light beams from the second geometric quarter-space to the first geometric quarter-space. The reflector surface is shaped to resemble a wedge that points towards the first geometric quarter-space so as to provide total internal reflection and to direct the reflected second light beams to sideward directions.

Since a master mold 10 of a molding mold has a plurality of linear groove parts 14e surrounding a plurality of cavity parts 12, resin hardly spreads to a corner part 14p where the adjacent linear groove parts 14e and 14e intersect each other and it is possible to prevent portions of the resin which have run over toward the adjacent groove parts 14e and 14e from spreading so as to come close to each other and being brought into contact with each other to create a weld trapping air bubbles.

摘要: Systems, articles, and methods that integrate photopolymer film with eyeglass lenses are described. One or more hologram(s) may be recorded into/onto the photopolymer film to enable the lens to be used as a transparent holographic combiner in a wearable heads-up display employing an image source, such as a microdisplay or a scanning laser projector. The methods of integrating photopolymer film with eyeglass lenses include: positioning photopolymer film in a lens mold and casting the lens around the photopolymer film; sandwiching photopolymer film in between two portions of a lens; applying photopolymer film to a concave surface of a lens; and/or affixing a planar carrier (with photopolymer film thereon) to two points across a length of a concave surface of a lens. Respective lenses manufactured/adapted by each of these processes are also described.

摘要: There is provided a contact lens (60) which is produced by cast moulding. The cast moulding is achieved by the use of an anterior face mould insert (30) which has a cap (24) with a domed surface (26) and a body (10). The domed surface has provision for a distance vision segment (31) and a reading segment (32) separated by a demarcation (33). Further, the cap (24) has a cutaway portion (20) for producing a lower ledge and the body (10) has a projection (18) for producing a lower truncation in the resultant lens. Means is also described for forming a posterior face of the contact lens (60).

摘要: A light flux controlling member includes a concavity on which light is incident on, a light control/emission surface that controls a traveling direction of light incident on the concavity, and a back surface that extends in a radial direction from an opening rim part of the concavity. One of a grid convex part which arranges a plurality of strips of convex parts in a grid pattern and a grid concave part which arranges a plurality of strips of concave parts in a grid pattern is formed in the back surface. A method of manufacturing the light flux controlling member includes forming one of the grid convex part and the grid concave part integrally with a main body of the light flux controlling member by integral molding using a mold having a shape corresponding to one of the grid convex part and the grid concave part.
