摘要: A stainless steel with black transparent appearance suitable for use as a decorative architectural material. The stainless steel material has a stainless steel substrate and a thin graphite film formed on the substrate, the thin graphite film having a thickness not greater than 1 .mu.m and containing 10 to 75 wt % of carbon existing in a state of diamond. This stainless steel material is produced by chemical vapor deposition process making use of a capacitance-coupled type high-frequency plasma, having the steps of preparing a stainless steel material as a substrate; placing the substrate in an atmosphere of a mixture gas which contains both hydrogen gas and an inert gas together with a hydrocarbon gas; and causing a reaction by applying a D.C. voltage of 100 to 600 V using the substrate as a cathode; thereby forming, on the substrate, a thin graphite film having a thickness not greater than 1 .mu.m and containing 10 to 75 wt % of carbon existing in a state of diamond.

摘要: Disclosed is a technique for correcting a pixel defect in the capture of two radiological images with parallax therebetween. Radiation beam is directly radiated to a radiation detector 15 in two radiographing directions, without passing through a subject, thereby acquiring two defect detecting radiological images. A pixel defect in each of the two defect detecting radiological images is detected in advance. A pixel position where the pixel defect occurs is stored in advance so as to be associated with each radiographing direction. Then, radiation beam is radiated to the subject from the two radiographing directions to acquire two radiological images for diagnosis. A target pixel which is disposed at the stored pixel position where the pixel defect occurs in each of the two radiological images for diagnosis is corrected.

摘要: To acquire a high-resolution frame from a plurality of frames sampled from a video image, it is necessary to obtain a high-resolution frame with reduced picture quality degradation regardless of motion of a subject included in the frame. Because of this, between a plurality of contiguous frames FrN and FrN+1, there is estimated a correspondent relationship. Based on the correspondent relationship, the frames FrN+1 and FrN are interposed to obtain first and second interpolated frames FrH1 and FrH2. Based on the correspondent relationship, the coordinates of the frame FrN+1 are transformed, and from a correlation value with the frame FrN, there is obtained a weighting coefficient α(x°, y°) that makes the weight of the first interpolated frame FrH1 greater as a correlation becomes greater. With the weighting coefficient, the first and second interpolated frames are weighted and added to acquire a synthesized frame FrG.

摘要: Processing speed is improved, by decreasing the amount of calculations required in face detecting processes. A human subject is photographed, and light is received by light receiving elements for each color component, to obtain pieces of pixel data. Next, a raw color image is generated from the pixel data, and a green signal image is generated from green pixel data. Thereafter, faces within the raw image are detected, by performing face detecting processes on the green signal image.
