摘要: A liquid crystal display device is provided. In the liquid crystal display device, a whole face of an alignment layer disposed above a substrate is uniformly subjected to first alignment treatment (uniform treatment) such as rubbing treatment in an a direction. Second alignment treatment is performed in a b direction (second direction) making an angle of about 90 degrees with the a direction and in a c direction (third direction) opposite to the a direction such that regions narrow than regions subjected to the first alignment treatment. This allows micro-regions subjected to alignment treatment in the a, b, and/or c direction to be present at intersections of zones extending in the b or c direction. The micro-regions are located in light-shielding sections.

摘要: The present invention provides a regenerator which has uniform performance and extremely high productivity and can keep performance and reliability as a regenerator, as well as a regenerative material used in the regenerator, in order to solve technical problems in mass production. A mat type regenerative material is woven into a cloth shape by using flexible and very long fine wires (C1, C2) made of one or a plurality of heat storage materials having a high specific heat per unit volume in the operating temperature range, for longitudinal wire members (C1, C2); and fine wires (D3) comprising a core wire consisting either of a single filament (D1) of at least one of ceramic fiber, carbon fiber, and synthetic resin fiber which have a higher hardness than that of the longitudinal wire members, a proper elasticity, and an extremely low heat conductivity, or of a filament composite (D2) formed by bundling a number of the same filaments as the single filament into one body with a fixing agent such as synthetic resin or glass, and a polymeric synthetic resin covering the core wire, for transverse wire members (D3).

摘要: A method for determining dehydrogenase or its substrate in dehydrogenase reaction, which comprises subjecting a dehydrogenase and its substrate to dehydrogenase reaction in the presence of an electron carrier or a combination of a coenzyme and an electron carrier, allowing to form H.sub.2 O.sub.2 through transfer of electrons derived from the substrate by the dehydrogenase reaction to O.sub.2 via the electron carrier or via the coenzyme and electron carrier, stopping the dehydrogenase reaction, reacting said H.sub.2 O.sub.2 with a peroxidase and a chromogen, and measuring a formed dye, and a reagent for determining dehydrogenase or its substrate. By the method and the reagent, dehydrogenase or its substrate can be accurately determined in a short time regardless of the concentration of the dehydrogenase and/or the substrate and without staining tubes or cells of a determination device with a dye.

摘要: In a connection structure for a liquid crystal display device between the terminal of a liquid crystal display device and a flexible flat cable, the end of the cover film of the flexible flat cable rides over the end of the substrate of the liquid crystal display device, and the electroconductive pattern of the flexible flat cable is in electrical connection with the terminal of said liquid crystal display device. The electroconductive pattern can be prevented from damaging or disconnection, by which the reliability upon handling or movement can be improved.

摘要: The invention provides a light guide member and an illuminating device which are able to efficiently uniformly irradiate illumination light to only an area requiring illumination. Therefore, a reflection face is constructed by reflection stripes such as many grooves, etc. widened in a concentric circle shape. Light from a light source unit is widened toward this entire reflection face without irregularities by a diffusing portion such as a reflection prism, etc. Thus, only the range actually requiring the illumination can be illuminated without irregularities, and visibility of the illumination range using a front light is raised.
