摘要: In one aspect, a liquid crystal display device includes a display region formed of a plural divided regions in a row direction. First and second driving circuits are arranged to face each other interposing the display region therebetween in the row direction. The first driving circuit is connected with odd scanning lines, and the second driving circuit is connected with the even scanning lines. A channel area of the TFT of the pixels connected to the odd scanning lines is the smallest in the divided region nearest to the first driving circuit and becomes larger gradually in the divided regions distant from the first driving circuit. A channel area of the TFT of the pixels connected to the even scanning lines is the smallest in the divided region nearest to the second driving circuit and becomes larger gradually in the divided regions with distant from the second driving circuit.

摘要: In order to make a boundary inconspicuous, which is located between an image area which displays an image by translucent pixels and a dummy area which always displays a white color by reflection pixels, a size ratio of transparent areas in color filters of the reflection pixels with respect to reflection areas therein is made larger than a size ratio of transparent areas in color filters of the translucent pixels with respect to reflection areas therein. In such a way, brightness of the display is balanced by adjusting quantities of transmission light through the transparent areas of the reflection pixels with respect to quantities of reflection light generated unexpectedly on transmission areas of the translucent pixels. Then, degrees of whiteness in the translucent pixels and the reflection pixels are approximated to each other.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate 10, a counter substrate 22 provided opposite to the TFT array substrate 10 and a liquid crystal layer 28 held between the TFT array and counter substrates 10 and 22. The TFT array substrate 10 has display and frame areas 31 and 32. There are pixel electrodes in the display area 31 which each have reflective and transparent portions 33 and 34 with convex and concave portions 29 and 30, respectively. Convex and concave portions 36 and 37 are also provided in the frame area 32 which are substantially the same in shape as convex and concave portions 29 and 30 in the display area 31. The surface of a photoresist coating film in the display area 31 shown by a dotted line 39 is substantially the same in configuration as that in the frame area 32 to make the column-like spacers 27 and 38 substantially the same in height. A cell gap between the TFT array and counter substrates 10 and 22 is made thereby substantially uniform.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device has an array substrate and an opposite substrate arranged opposite to each other through a plurality of columnar spacers with a liquid crystal layer sandwiched therebetween. A plurality of wiring lines and coloring layers are provided over the array electrode. A frame pattern is formed on the array substrate at the outer side of the display area to prevent a light leakage at the outer peripheral edge of the display area. The frame pattern is so provided as to have a gap relative to the outermost peripheral side columnar spacers. At a gap between the frame pattern and the outermost peripheral side columnar spacers, a wiring line is provided with its portion formed in an overlapping relation to the frame pattern, thus blocking light.

摘要: A cable reel includes a sound-absorbing material which can effectively attenuate both sliding noise and vibration noise and can be produced inexpensively. The cable reel comprises a stationary member assembly and a movable member assembly rotatably mounted on the stationary member assembly. The stationary and movable member assemblies define a cable containing chamber having an annular configuration and upper and lower bearing surfaces. The cable containing chamber accommodates a flat cable in a coiled manner between the upper and lower bearing surfaces. Opposite ends of the flat cable are led out from the stationary and movable member assemblies through electrical means. The sound-absorbing material is made of a foam material and includes at least three straps. The straps extend radially and are equally spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction on at least the lower bearing surface of the cable containing chamber so that the flat cable slides on the straps of the sound-absorbing material.

摘要: A sound-absorbing material and a cable reel including the same is produced inexpensively and attenuates sliding noise and vibration noise. A sound-absorbing material 20 has a dual layer structure comprising an upper rubber sheet 20b and a lower rubber sheet 20a. A front side surface 20e of the lower rubber sheet 20a and a back side surface 20f of the upper rubber sheet 20b are provided with a number of protrusions 20c and 20d, respectively. The front side surface 20e is opposed to the back side surface 20f through the protrusions 20c and 20d. The upper and lower rubber sheets 20b and 20a are integrated together by interconnecting the peripheral edges of the sheets to form the sound-absorbing material 20. The sound-absorbing material 20 has a thickness of about 1.3 mm and an air layer 21 between the upper and lower rubber sheets 20b and 20a. Sounds transmitted to the sound-absorbing material 20 are struck at the protrusions 20c and 20d, are reflected on the protrusions irregularly, and are attenuated in the material 20.

摘要: A CCD imager designed to combine two consecutive lines of signal charges into a signal line to provide a picture signal according to a television system, such as NTSC with an image sensor having a photosensor array, or another television system, such as HDTV or EDTV. When the NTSC mode is selected by a selector, the vertical shift registers are clocked rapidly so that a vertical scan is repeated twice in each horizontal scanning period to reduce the number of scanning lines in half.
