    摘要: A network provider can receive a request, via a first mobile device and a mobile wireless telephone network, for access to a wireless network secured with at least one encryption key and implemented by at least one wireless access point. In response to the request, the network provider can associate the first mobile device with a user account of a user and can provide a token to a registrar and to the first mobile device via the mobile wireless telephone network. The registrar can receive, from the first mobile device or a second mobile device associated the user via the wireless access point. After determining, based on the one or more hash values, that the first or second mobile device has possession of the token, the registrar can provide the encryption key to that mobile device.

    摘要: Techniques for network control of application states of applications associated with a communication device are presented herein. An application agent, associated with an application used by the communication device, controls transitioning the application between application states based on network indicators received or network events detected from a communication network. The application states include active state or doze state. An application management component associated with the communication network at least partially controls transitioning the application between application states to facilitate controlling network traffic or reducing network congestion. The application agent or application management component can map application states to various factors, including radio states, congestion level, application performance indicators, network policies, or user policies, to facilitate determining which application state to apply to an application at a given time. The application agent can be in a centralized location, or at a same or different location as the application source.

According to one aspect, a computer-implemented method for routing requests from an application includes receiving an application programming interface (API) request from an application running on a device.     摘要: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed which relate to implementing a point-of-presence system on a mobile service network. Such a point-of-presence system includes a mobile device communications network; a mobile device; a point-of-presence logic installed on a mobile device; and an application server in communication with the point-of-presence logic via the communications network. Communications between the point-of-presence logic and the network and application server include network data, configuration, and/or installation of connection and device management applications. This point-of-presence system constitutes a mechanism for the service provider to best optimize network resources, even at the device level, while providing optimum network service to mobile users—even for mobile devices that have not been pre-configured for the mobile service network.

    摘要: Smart routing packet handling across multiple networks achieves end-to-end (ETE) quality of service (QOS) when complementing or replacing conventional priority-based scheduling algorithms. Packets are “tagged” with a time code that indicates a time is allotted for the packet to transmit from a source to a destination and/or a measure of transmission time. Buffers at routers and/or switches utilize this information to order a transmission queue. In this way, queues may be intelligently scheduled to achieve a maximum ETE QOS.
