摘要： In a magnetic head, a second leg portion 10b with which a coil is not coupled is connected to a first long side 82 1 (outer-body 8). Since the sectional area (thickness) is made larger in comparison to the conventional technique, thereby the magnetic resistance becomes lower and the read/write efficiency is increased. Since the second leg portion 10b is adapted to be connected to the outer-body 8 and thereby has a great rigidity, even if any shock is applied during assembling or while in use, the second leg portion 10b is prevented from being bent or generating cracks.

摘要： A spread illuminating apparatus includes: at least one light source; a light conductive plate which has the at least one light source disposed at one end surface thereof, and which allows light emitted from the at least one light source and introduced therein to exit out therefrom through both major surfaces thereof toward first and second liquid crystal display elements disposed respectively over the both major surfaces of the light conductive plate, wherein the second liquid crystal display element has a smaller display screen size than the first liquid crystal display element; and a reflecting means which is disposed at the other major surface of the light conductive plate so as to cover at least areas not covered by the second liquid crystal display element, and which reflects light toward the first liquid crystal display element.

Thereby, the bridging portion which has been necessary in the conventional example is almost eliminated, as a result, the strength of the front core 3 is increased to prevent it from being broken due to any shocking force. Since the terminal stands 20d of the read/write coil 6 and the erasing coil 7 are accommodated in the cut out 23 and not positioned outside the back yoke 5, to that extent, the apparatus is planned to be miniaturized.

Each of the key pads is depressible upon touch by a user. An optically transparent circuit board is coupled to a backside of each of the key pads. The apparatus has a light guide characterized by a planar optically transparent material having a surface region, a width, a length, and a backside region, and a thickness provided between the surface region and the backside region. The apparatus has a plurality of patterns disposed on the surface region and optically coupled respectively to each of the twenty six key members. In a specific embodiment, the apparatus has a light emitting diode provided within a center region of the surface region to emit electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation propagates from the light emitting diode through a portion of the thickness of the light guide to one or more of the plurality of patterns to direct one or more portions of the electromagnetic radiation to respective key pads for lighting the respective key pads.

摘要： In a spread illuminating apparatus comprising a light conductive plate, and at least one spot-like light source disposed close to a light entrance surface thereof, the light conductive plate has, on its light exit surface, a light scattering means comprising a plurality of mechanisms which are each formed so as to extend in a direction perpendicular to the light entrance surface, and which are adapted to scatter the light emitted from the at least one spot-like light source with respect to the direction parallel to the light entrance surface. The mechanisms of the light scattering means each consist of either paired slanting surfaces, a ridge with its surface arced in cross section, or a ridge multifaceted forming a polygonal cross section. The surfaces of the mechanisms may be roughened with a plurality of grooves, thereby achieving a further uniform illumination.
