摘要: The present invention provides methods which use induction phenomenon of production of interleukin 18 (IL-18) from keratinocyte (KC), and their usages. The methods are preferably applicable for understanding of pathogenic mechanisms of atopic dermatitis (AD) and AD-like symptoms, and for development of therapeutic drugs for AD and AD-like symptoms. For example, by applying, on skin of mice or the like, protein A (SpA) derived from Staphylococcus aureus, or transplanting, on mice, a skin graft which has developed an inflammatory skin disease like AD, it is possible to reproduce elevation of IgE to high level in serum, which elevation is generated in an AD-like lesion. As a result, it is possible, for example, to screen for an inhibitor which inhibits induction of production of IL-18 from KC.

摘要: The α antigen-encoding gene and the α antigen protein suppress the production of interleukin-4 etc., improve the Th2 type cytokine-dominant state, and furthermore inhibit various conditions of allergic diseases such as IgE production, histamine release and eosinophil infiltration, and therefore they are very effective for the prevention or treatment of atopic diseases such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and allergic conjunctivitis, and more broadly allergic diseases.

摘要: A planar lighting apparatus is provided in which thinning is promoted while higher and more uniform brightness is achieved by maintaining an LED on a light-incoming face of a light guide plate easily and stably. A planar lighting apparatus 10 according to the present invention is provided with a light guide plate 2 and an LED 11 arranged on a light-incoming face 3 of the light guide plate 2. The light guide plate 2 has a pressing portion 5 formed integrally with the light guide plate 2 and opposite to the light-incoming face 3 with a predetermined gap d, and the LED 11 is held between the pressing portion 5 and the light-incoming face 3 and brought into pressure contact with the light-incoming face 3 by an elastic action of the pressing portion 5 so as to maintain the position and attitude with respect to the light guide plate 2 properly and stably.

摘要: The curvature of a circular arc constituted by a side of a suction groove is made larger than that of a circular arc constituted by a side of a discharge groove. Thus, when the suction groove and the discharge groove are viewed in the axial direction of a drive shaft, the distance between the suction groove and the discharge groove in the radial direction of a rotary portion is short in a region intersecting with a line W perpendicular to a centerline, and increases in accordance with a decrease in distance from containment portions. It is therefore possible to ensure a sufficient distance between the discharge and suction grooves and enhance a total fluid pressure generated therebetween, and the contact surface pressure that is necessitated by a second side plate to obtain a press-back force when being in contact with an outer rotor and an inner rotor is reduced.

摘要: The execution of a process is analyzed by a data processing method using a data analysis device for processing a job by combining the processes of transforming an input data and generating an output data. The execution history of the process is recorded, and each time the process is executed, it is determined whether the process execution is high in anomaly probability based on a determination indicator defined in advance. Upon determination that the process execution is high in anomaly probability, the process log information of the process including the determination indicator is recorded, and based on the process log information and the process execution history, the process high in anomaly probability is further analyzed, By determining whether the process to be analyzed is anomalous or not, the process history analysis information including the analysis result and the execution history of the process to be analyzed is generated.

摘要: A spread illuminating apparatus is provided which includes: a light conductive plate having a light entrance surface and a light exit surface; a plurality of LEDs disposed at the light entrance surface of the light conductive plate; a light reflecting sheet disposed at the light exit surface so as to cover a portion of the light conductive plat located close to the side surface and also the LEDs, and a plurality of light diffusing portions disposed at the light reflecting sheet so as to cover respective LEDs. Lights leaking from the LEDs are diffused by the light diffusing portions thus preventing the brightness variation at the areas closed to the LEDs, and the leakage lights are reflected by the light reflecting sheet into the light conductive plate so as to be efficiently utilized thus achieving an enhanced brightness across the light exit surface of the light conductive plate.

摘要: There is provided a spread illuminating apparatus including a light guide plate, and an LED structure which is disposed at a side surface of the light guide plate, includes: a substrate having electrode patterns formed thereon; an LED chip disposed on the electrode patterns; and a light-transmittable resin adapted to seal up the LED chip and exposed due to a lamp house not provided therearound, and which has a longitudinal dimension substantially equal to the longitudinal dimension of the side surface of the light guide plate. The electrode patterns are formed so as to cover substantially the entire area of a surface of the substrate. Accordingly, heat generated by the LED chip can be efficiently transmitted and released outside, and also light introduced in the light guide plate is suppressed from leaking out from the side surface of the light guide plate.

摘要: A tripod type constant velocity universal joint for interconnecting two shafts to permit transmission of a driving force in a vehicle such as a motor car. In said tripod type constant velocity universal joint, a trunnion portion of the tripod shafts is urged against and supported by a tulip portion of a second shaft by a tripod spring, the spherical head of a mushroom-shaped member provided in the mounting hole of said trunnion portion is kept in contact with a recess in said tulip portion by the biasing force of a compression spring, and further, said mushroom-shaped member or said trunnion portion of the tripod shafts is formed to provide a spherically curved surface or a conical surface incorporating a straight line, in which the distance from the center of the joint is increased as a point on the external configuration leaves the center toward the outer periphery.

摘要: A boot for covering the juncture between a drive shaft and a universal joint casing formed of a resilient material and having a small end portion and a large end portion with a bellows structure therebetween. The bellows has undulations with ridges and valleys with ridge angles determined such that contact between adjacent undulations when the boot is operatively connected is confined to a plane. Preferably, the thickness of the resilient material is greater in a longitudinally center portion than in the remaining portions of the bellows and the distance between neighboring ridges in the central portion is greater than in the remaining portions.
