    摘要: A spread illuminating apparatus includes: a light guide plate including a plurality of protrusions disposed along a side surface thereof such that a plurality of interspaces are formed with each interspace being located between two adjacent protrusions; and a plurality of LEDs which include first row LEDs and second row LEDs disposed in two rows respectively at the interspaces and the protrusions. The distal portion of the protrusion has, at its top end surface, a width which is larger than the width of an opening area of the recess of a lamp house and also smaller than the overall width of the lamp house. The first and second row LEDs adjacent to each other are disposed such that respective lamp houses of two adjacent LEDs partly overlap with each other when viewed from the light emission direction.

    摘要: There is provided a touch panel for a display device for reducing the whole thickness thereof when the touch panel is attached to the display device, increasing the accuracy of the positional information and improving the display quality and the durability thereof. One resistive layer of a pair of resistive layers disposed opposite to each other across a plurality of insulating dot spacers is laid on a translucent flat plate, and a light conductive plate of a front light unit is integrated with an outer surface side of the translucent flat plate. The translucent flat plate is formed of a PET film in place of a glass plate.

    摘要: In a magnetic head, a second leg portion 10b with which a coil is not coupled is connected to a first long side 82 1 (outer-body 8). Since the sectional area (thickness) is made larger in comparison to the conventional technique, thereby the magnetic resistance becomes lower and the read/write efficiency is increased. Since the second leg portion 10b is adapted to be connected to the outer-body 8 and thereby has a great rigidity, even if any shock is applied during assembling or while in use, the second leg portion 10b is prevented from being bent or generating cracks.

    摘要: A compression ring as a piston ring adapted to by received in an annular groove formed in a piston disposed in a cylinder assembly of an internal combustion engine includes an annular ring base member having a cutout portion, the ring base member having an outer sliding surface, upper and lower surfaces continuous to the sliding surface through corner portions and an inner peripheral surface to be fitted to the piston groove, the sliding surface contacting an inner wall of the cylinder when the piston reciprocates therein. A nitriding layer is formed on all the surfaces of the ring base member by a nitriding treatment. A white portion of the nitriding layer formed only on the sliding surface of the ring base member is substantially completely removed and white portions of the nitriding layer formed on the first and second surfaces and corner portions between the sliding surface and the upper and lower surfaces are removed so as to reduce thicknesses thereof to not more than 5 .mu.m.

    摘要: There is provided is a metal line structure in which no defect of blistering occurs on a surface of a Cu/Ni film or a Cu/Au/Ni film even if an Ni plating thickness is reduced. According to this metal line 1, in a Cu/Au/Ni film structure in which an Au film 13 and a Cu film 15 are successively laminated by electroless plating on an Ni film 12 formed by electroless plating, the Ni film 12 has a phosphorus content x of 10 wt %≦x≦15 wt %. It was discovered through experiments that the so-called high phosphorus content type Ni film 12 having a phosphorus content x of 10 to 15 percent by weight became a fine smooth film under a condition of a film thickness of 0.1 &mgr;m or greater.
