摘要： A magnetic disk storage device capable of avoiding the occurrence of vibration of magnetic disks and off-track of magnetic heads with respect to the magnetic disks, including an inner shroud enclosing a disk assembly composed of a multiplicity of magnetic disks stacked in superposed relation with spacers being interposed therebetween and formed at its outer peripheral wall with first ports for inserting access arms therethrough and at its top above a spindle supporting the disk assembly with a second port, a cylindrical filter for removing dust from air flowing through the second port of the inner shroud into the interior thereof, and a dust cover enclosing the inner shroud, actuators and filter. The provision of the inner shroud is conductive to prevention of development of turbulent air flow in the vicinity of the magnetic disks. The inner shroud is further formed at its outer peripheral wall with a multiplicity of small apertures for releasing heat generated in the inner shroud to outside, to thereby avoid thermal off-track of the magnetic heads.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance device to convey a recording medium in a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction; an image forming device; an imaging device; and circuitry to control the image forming apparatus. Controlled by the circuitry, the image forming device forms the colorimetric pattern on the recording medium that has been conveyed in the first direction by a predetermined distance after the marker pattern is formed. Controlled by the circuitry, after the colorimetric pattern is fixed, the circuitry causes the conveyance device to convey the recording medium in the second direction by an amount equivalent to a distance from the marker pattern to an imaging position by the imaging device plus a margin, conveys the recording medium in the first direction until the imaging device detects the marker pattern, and conveys the recording medium in the first direction to a colorimetry position.

摘要： An apparatus includes: a light source; a two-dimensional image sensor that receives reflected light from a subject including specular light of the source and outputs an image of the subject; and an optical member arranged in an optical path of light emitted from the source to the subject. When a specular position of the source in the subject arranged apart from the two-dimensional image sensor by a certain distance is defined as a first specular position, whereas a specular position of the source in the optical member is defined as a second specular position, a relative positional relation of the optical member and the source with respect to the two-dimensional image sensor is determined so that a difference between an incident angle from the source toward the first specular position and an incident angle from the source toward the second specular position is a reference value or more.

摘要： A lead frame (100) for a semiconductor device is formed by applying nickel plating (102), palladium plating (103), and gold flash plating (104) substantially entirely to lead frame body (101) such as copper thin plate in this order, and further applying silver plating (105) selectively to part of an inner part that is to be enclosed with a package of the semiconductor device. The lead frame (100) may also include a base of the package. The silver plating contributes to an excellent light reflectance and wire bonding efficiency of the inner part, whereas the gold flash plating contributes to an excellent resistance to corrosion and soldering efficiency of an outer part that is outside the package.

A cytoplasmic localization DNA or RNA modified with a peptide can be constructed by modifying a DNA fragment with an active hydrogen-containing group on a solid support, fusing a peptide having an active hydrogen-containing group therewith and then removing from the solid support. On the other hand, a cytoplasmic localization siRNA can be obtained by introducing chemical modification group(s) into the 5′-terminus of at least one of the sense chain and the antisense chain constituting the double-strand, or a dangling end of the antisense chain, or both of them.

摘要： The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display apparatus including (1) a liquid crystal panel including an electrodes substrate provided with pixel electrodes and counter electrodes, a counter substrate which opposes the electrodes substrate, and a liquid crystal layer containing therein liquid crystal molecules which are driven by an electric field that is generated in a substantially parallel manner with respect to a surface of the electrodes substrate when voltage is applied on the pixel electrodes and counter electrodes; and (2) a driving circuit for supplying predetermined electric signals to the pixel electrodes and the counter electrodes, wherein inclining directions of liquid crystal molecules which are closest to the electrodes substrate and those of liquid crystal molecules which are closest to the counter substrate are identical, and aligning directions of liquid crystal molecules which are closest to the electrodes substrate and those of liquid crystal molecules which are closest to the counter substrate are parallel to each other.

摘要： The hydropneumatic suspension system includes first and second pairs of suspension units; each pair of suspension units is adapted to be hydraulically controlled in the same manner. Each suspension unit includes upper and lower cylinder compartments divided by a main piston. The upper cylinder compartment and the lower cylinder compartment of each of the first pair of suspension units are respectively connected to the lower cylinder compartment and the upper cylinder compartment of each of the second pair of suspension units. Five solenoid valves are hydraulically connected to the suspension units and actuated, when it is required to lift a vehicle wheel, such that hydraulic fluid under pressure is supplied to the upper cylinder compartments of the first and second pairs of suspension units and thereafter hydraulic fluid in the upper cylinder compartments of one of the first and second pairs of suspension units is supplied to the lower cylinder compartments of the other pair.
