摘要: A process for purifying semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWCNTs) extracted with a conjugated polymer, the process comprising exchanging the conjugated polymer with an s-tetrazine based polymer in a processed sc-SWCNT dispersion that comprises the conjugated polymer associated with the sc-SWCNTs. The process can be used for production of thin film transistors and chemical sensors. In addition, disclosed herein is use of an s-tetrazine based polymer for purification of semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWCNTs).

摘要: A composition for use in a photo-active device has: a charge transfer network of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) having at least 95 wt % of semiconducting single walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWCNT) based on total weight of the SWCNT, the sc-SWCNT containing at least 30 wt % of one chiral type of sc-SWCNT based on total weight of the sc-SWCNT; and, a solution processible electron trapping material of a fullerene compound, the electron trapping material in contact with the charge transfer network of SWCNT. The composition is readily prepared from solution processible components and is highly sensitive in a narrow wavelength band. The composition is particularly useful in photoconductors and phototransistors that operate on the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum.

摘要: A single-walled carbon nanotube composition includes single-walled carbon nanotubes substantially enriched in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes in association with a polymer having one or more oligoether side groups. The oligoether side groups render the composition dispersable in polar organic solvents, for example alkyl carbitols, permitting formulation of ink compositions containing single-walled carbon nanotubes substantially enriched in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes. Such ink compositions may be readily printed using common printing methods, such as inkjet, flexography and gravure printing.

摘要: A composite material suitable for use in sensing and catalysis applications with conjugated polymers non-covalently bound to the carbon nanotubes. The conjugated polymers have alternating aromatic (Ar) units and bipyridine (BPy) units. Metal nanoparticles having a size that is between about 0.3 nm and about 5 nm are bound to the conjugated polymers at respective BPy units, thereby anchoring the metal nanoparticles to the carbon nanotubes. Thus, a metal salt solution was added into the polymer/carbon nanotube solution to form a metal-BPy complex, which is in situ photo reduced to metal nanoparticles. Therefore, the formed nanoparticles are tightly anchored to the nanotube and can be self-regenerated by room light to offer the material a high performance and durability.

摘要: Processes for selectively dispersing semi-conducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWCNTs) in a solvent. One process comprises adding an amine either: to a conjugated polymer extraction process (CPE) of the sc-SWCNTs; or after the CPE of the sc-SWCNTs, in which the amine partially displaces the conjugate polymer associated with the sc-SWNTs dispersed in the solvent. Another process comprises adding an amine either: to a conjugated polymer extraction process (CPE) of the sc-SWCNTs; or after the CPE of the sc-SWCNTs, with the proviso that the amine excludes EDTA. Also, a process for displacement of a conjugated polymer from the surface of semi-conducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWCNTs) dispersed in a solvent, which comprises adding an amine either: to a conjugated polymer extraction process (CPE) of the sc-SWCNTs; or after the CPE of the sc-SWCNTs.
