Abstract: The present invention provides a coil spring, in which a corresponding portion is provided at an end portion in a direction of a coil axis, the corresponding portion having a whole size in the direction of the coil axis of the plurality of wire materials adjacent to each other in the direction of the coil axis equal to a maximum value of a gap in the direction of the coil axis between wire materials adjacent to each other in the direction of the coil axis of the coil spring, a gap in the direction of the coil axis between the corresponding portion and a wire material adjacent to the corresponding portion on an inner side in the direction of the coil axis is smaller than a wire height in an active coil portion of the coil spring, and at the end portion of the direction of the coil axis, a gap in the direction of the coil axis between a portion extending around the coil axis from the corresponding portion to a distal end portion side of the wire material and a wire material adjacent to the portion on the inner side in the direction of the coil axis gradually decreases from the corresponding portion toward the distal end portion side of the wire material around the coil axis.

Abstract: An inexpensive ring spring having high strength and a method for producing the same, are provided. The ring spring can be obtained, for example, by raw material preparation, bending formation, welding, and disk formation performed in this order. The ring spring is formed to have no edge by welding two edge parts of the raw material, and has a welded metal part that is formed at the interface of the two edge parts of the raw material, and a welded heat-affected zone that is formed around the welded metal part and heated by welding, and exhibits tensile strength of 1000 MPa or more. Since the ring spring has sufficient tensile strength as a disk spring and a wave spring, quenching and tempering are not necessary. Furthermore, since the product can be prevented from being deformed due to quenching and tempering, dimensional accuracy of the product can be improved.

Abstract: A valve spring includes a nitrided layer, and a core portion that is further inward than the nitrided layer. A chemical composition of the core portion consists of, in mass %, C: 0.53 to 0.59%, Si: 2.51 to 2.90%, Mn: 0.70 to 0.85%, P: 0.020% or less, S: 0.020% or less, Cr: 1.40 to 1.70%, Mo: 0.17 to 0.53%, V: 0.23 to 0.33%, Ca: 0.0001 to 0.0050%, Cu: 0.050% or less, Ni: 0.050% or less, Al: 0.0050% or less, Ti: 0.050% or less, and N: 0.0070% or less, with the balance being Fe and impurities. Abstract: A damper spring having an excellent fatigue limit is provided. A damper spring according to the present embodiment includes a nitrided layer formed in an outer layer, and a core portion that is further inward than the nitrided layer.
