    Abstract: A spindle motor includes a stationary portion and a rotating portion arranged to rotate about a central axis extending in a vertical direction with respect to the stationary portion. The stationary portion includes a stator portion including a stator core including an annular core back and a plurality of tooth portions arranged to extend radially outward from the core back, and coils wound around the plurality of tooth portions; an outside surface press fitted to an inside surface of the core back; and a fixing member arranged at least on an upper surface of the core back. Conducting wires defining the coils include passage lines each of which is arranged to join different ones of the coils to each other; and lead wires each of which is drawn out from one of the coils, and is drawn out from an upper side of upper surfaces of the tooth portions to a lower side of lower surfaces of the tooth portions. Each of the passage lines and the lead wires is arranged radially outward of the inside surface of the core back. The fixing member is arranged to fix at least a portion of each passage line and at least a portion of each lead wire to the stator core.

    Abstract: In this stator, a passage line extending in a circumferential direction is disposed in a circumferential gap between two circumferentially adjacent ones of coils. A lead wire continuous with a conducting wire defining one of the coils includes a bend portion being bent in the gap with the passage line serving as a supporting point; a led-out portion arranged to extend from the coil to one side in an axial direction to the bend portion; and a connection portion arranged to extend from the bend portion to another side in the axial direction. At least a portion of a portion of the lead wire which overlaps with the passage line when viewed in a radial direction is arranged at a radial position between the passage line and a core back. Thus, the lead wire is bent with the passage line serving as the supporting point to reverse the direction in which the lead wire runs in the axial direction, and this contributes to preventing a slackening of the connection portion of the lead wire from causing the lead wire to be slackened to the one side in the axial direction. This in turn reduces the likelihood that the lead wire will be brought into contact with a member arranged on the one side of the stator in the axial direction.

    Abstract: In a motor, a stator includes: a stator core having slots arranged in a circumferential direction; and conductor connection bodies with conductors connected in series and inserted into the slots. A conductor connection body includes: a first portion wave-wound toward one side in the circumferential direction from a first end to a second end; a second portion wave-wound toward the one side in the circumferential direction from a third end to a fourth end; and a folded portion connecting the first and second portions. The first and third ends protrude in an axial direction from different slots in the circumferential direction, and the second and fourth ends protrude in the axial direction from different slots in the circumferential direction. The conductors include a folded conductor that forms a folded portion connecting the second end of the first portion and the fourth end of the second portion.
