摘要: To provide a flow control valve seal that is manufactured at a low cost, that makes wear damage of a rotor with which the flow control valve seal slidably contacts less, and that is superior in its low leak performance, low friction performance, and low wear performance. A seal (6) is installed in a flow control valve device (1) including a housing (2) having an introduction part (5) that receives a cooling water from an internal combustion engine, and a resin rotor (4) disposed in the housing (2) and having a spherical outer peripheral surface (4a), the rotor (4) being rotated relative to the housing (2). The seal (6) is disposed between the introduction part (5) and the rotor (4) in the housing (2) and slidably contacts with the outer peripheral surface (4a) of the rotor (4). The seal (6) is an injection molded body of a resin composition having injection-moldable fluororesin as a base resin. The fluororesin is at least one resin selected from among a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoro alkylvinyl ether copolymer resin, a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer resin, and a tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer resin.

摘要: To provide a sliding bearing for an electric water pump, the sliding bearing being superior in low friction performance in water or an antifreeze solution. A sliding bearing 3 is for an electric water pump that comprises a rotor 1 having the sliding bearing 3 that is formed in a substantially hollow cylindrical shape and rotatably supports a shaft, and a stator that is disposed on a circle coaxial with the shaft and rotationally drives the rotor 1. The sliding bearing 3 is formed of a resin composition that contains synthetic resin as a main component. The resin composition contains 5-30 vol % of carbon fiber that has a density of 2.00-2.25 g/cm3 and an average fiber length of 30-300 μm, to a whole volume of the resin composition.

摘要: Provided are a piezoelectric device capable of exhibiting high power-generation performance without impairing flexibility and a method of manufacturing the piezoelectric device. The piezoelectric device includes a multilayer structure 1 in which a polymer nonwoven fabric 3 holding or containing piezoelectric ceramic particles 4 and a polymer resin sheet 2 containing piezoelectric ceramic particles are stacked such that at least one layer of the polymer nonwoven fabric is included. This multilayer structure can provide an electric power output equal to or larger than the electric power output produced by a multilayer structure in which a layer of the polymer resin sheet is stacked on each of two main surface sides of a layer of the polymer nonwoven fabric.

摘要: To provide a piston ring having superior wear resistance and causing less wear damage of a cylinder. A piston ring 1 is used in a reciprocating compressor that compresses gas. The piston ring 1 is formed of a resin composition containing polyetheretherketone resin as a main component. The melt viscosity of the polyetheretherketone resin at the shear rate of 1,000/s and the temperature of 400° C. is 200-550 Pa·s based on a measuring method defined in ISO 11443. The resin composition contains 5-25 vol % of carbon fiber and 5-25 vol % of a solid lubricant, relative to the whole of the resin composition. The solid lubricant includes at least one of PTFE resin and graphite.

摘要: To provide a rotor for electric water pumps in which a sliding bearing formed of a thermoplastic resin composition can be produced at a low cost and has superior low friction and low wear property, and an inner diameter of the sliding bearing is hardly contracted by the insert-molding. A rotor 1 used for electric water pumps has a main body 2 that supports an impeller of the pump, a sliding bearing 3 that rotatably supports a shaft, and a magnet 4 disposed to face a stator. The sliding bearing 3 is an annealing treated body of a polyphenylene sulfide resin composition. The polyphenylene sulfide resin composition contains 5-30 vol % of carbon fiber, 1-20 vol % of polytetrafluoroethylene resin and 1-30 vol % of graphite relative to the whole volume of the polyphenylene sulfide resin composition. The main body 2 is an injection-molded body disposed by insert-molding a thermoplastic resin composition, which is different from the polyphenylene sulfide resin composition, at an outer diameter side of the sliding bearing 3.

摘要: To provide a shaft seal that is capable of decreasing rotational torque and realizing superior sealing performance. A shaft seal 1 having a ring shape adheres to an outer peripheral surface of a rotational shaft 6 and thereby seals sealed fluid. The shaft seal 1 partitions a gap between the rotational shaft 6 and a housing 7 to which the shaft seal 1 is mounted, into a high-pressure side and a low-pressure side. The shaft seal 1 is an injection-molded body having a generally U-shape in a sectional view about an axial direction. The shaft seal 1 has a seal lip part 2 that is configured to extend to the high-pressure side and slide on the rotational shaft 6, and an outer lip part 3 that is disposed at an outer diametrical side relative to the seal lip part 2. An inclined angle α of the seal lip part 2 relative to the outer peripheral surface of the rotational shaft 6 is 5-20 degrees. The length L2 of the seal lip part 2 in the sectional view about the axial direction of the shaft seal 1 is 2.0-6.5 mm.
