摘要: For butt-welding, which includes bringing joining end surfaces of a cup member and a shaft member into abutment against each other and radiating a high energy intensity beam from a radially outer side, the shaft member has a recess on a radially inner side of the joining end surface to obtain a welded portion having a closed hollow cavity on a radially inner side after butt-welding. The joining end surface (protruding surface) of the cup member protrudes toward a radially inner side with respect to an inner diameter of the joining end surface of the shaft member. With this, a welded portion of an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint, which is manufactured by joining the cup member and the shaft member, can be improved in strength and quality.

摘要: There is provided a sealing structure and a gasket which can seal both of a portion where a groove for mounting the gasket is formed and a portion where a groove for mounting the gasket is not formed when the portions are connected.The gasket includes a first gasket portion 110 which has a first mounted portion 111 to be mounted in a first groove 211 to come in close contact with a bottom face 211a of the first groove 211 and which is formed in a shape along an end portion of an outer wall portion 210 and a second gasket portion 120 which has a second mounted portion 150 to be mounted in a second groove 221 near a portion connected to the first gasket portion 110 and which is formed in a shape along an end portion 220 of a partition wall 220, the second mounted portion 150 having an inclined face for coming in close contact with the inclined bottom face 221a of the second groove 221.

摘要: A gasket in an integrated double-layered structure comprising an outer layer and an inner layer enclosed by the outer layer, in which the outer layer is a low-hardness rubber layer having a JIS A hardness of 40-70, and the inner layer is a high-hardness rubber layer having a JIS A hardness of 80-100, where a ratio h/h0 of height h of the inner layer to height h0 of the outer layer is preferably 0.3-0.8, and ratio d/d0 of height d of the inner layer to width d0 of the outer layer is preferably 0.5-0.8 in the longitudal cross-section as view from the width direction of the gasket, has a low reaction force, and distinguished sealability and insertibility, and used as inserted between two members, one of which has a groove for insertion.

摘要: A power transmission shaft including a male spline formed in an outer periphery thereof, and a diameter increasing portion formed on a part of a tooth bottom of the male spline, which is located on an opposite side to an axial end of the power transmission shaft. The tooth bottom of the male spline has a substantially constant circumferential width extending up to an axial region of the diameter increasing portion. The diameter increasing portion includes a chamfered portion formed in the axial region of the diameter increasing portion, the chamfered portion connecting the tooth bottom and a tooth flank of the male spline to each other to reduce a tooth groove width.
