    摘要： A cap assembly of a front end of an inserting portion of an endoscope and a cap to be attached to the front end of the endoscope, comprising; a first engaging portion provided on the front end of the inserting portion of the endoscope; and, a second engaging portion provided on the cap being disengageably engaged with the first engaging portion of the endoscope. The front end of the inserting portion of the endoscope is provided with a projection whose diameter being smaller than a diameter of the front end, the projection being connected to the front end through a stepped portion.

The tip end portion of the image capturing element holding frame is formed to have a tubular section, the cover glass being fitted in the tubular section and located at a position where the cover glass does not contact the bonding wires, the cover glass being air-tightly cemented to the tubular section.

    摘要： A car security apparatus and a car security system for protecting a vehicle from car theft and tampering which notifies a user of the details regarding an abnormal condition (i.e., the identity of the sensor or sensors that have detected the abnormal condition, and the time of detection) that takes place during the activation of a security function of the apparatus. When any sensor detects an abnormal condition with the security function in an armed (on) mode, a controller stores in a memory device the identification of the sensor that detects the abnormal condition and the time of detection as security information. In response to a predetermined operation performed the user, the controller reads the security information from the memory device and transmits the security information to another onboard device (audio or audio/visual device) having a display. The device receives and then presents the security message using alphanumeric characters on the display.

    摘要： A navigation apparatus and an intersection guidance method are provided for guiding a user through a guidance intersection located on a guidance route in an easy-to-understand manner even when no facility serving as a landmark is located near the guidance intersection, or when facility located near the guidance intersection is difficult to observe. When a user's vehicle is approaching within a specified distance of a guidance intersection on a guidance route, a navigation apparatus mounted in the vehicle obtains information about a traveling position and a traveling direction of another vehicle located near the user's vehicle and characteristics information about the other vehicle through inter-vehicle communication between the vehicles. Then, based on the information, the apparatus provides a guidance message indicating a travel direction of the user's vehicle in relation to the information about the other vehicle. Accordingly, the use of the other vehicle as a landmark can show the user the direction of travel in which the user's vehicle is to travel at the guidance intersection in an easy-to-understand manner.
