摘要: Vibration observed in a tire wheel portion exhibits a resonant vibration phenomenon in which vibration fluctuates between a wheel and a surface of a tire. This phenomenon shows different characteristics depending upon how the surface of the tire is in contact with a road surface. Here, a detector derives a parameter corresponding to a gradient of a coefficient of friction based on these characteristics and detects a brake condition. Also, a controller executes ABS control based on such parameter.

摘要: A pressure control valve for use in an automobile braking system includes a spool slidably movable for providing selective fluid communication between a pressure fluid source, a wheel cylinder, and a reservoir. The spool has, or is associated with, a pressure-bearing member responsive to a fluid pressure from the wheel cylinder, for applying a first biasing force to the slidable member to urge the slidable member to a position in which the wheel cylinder and the reservoir communicates with each other. An electromagnetic coil responds to an electric signal for generating an electromagnetic force to urge the slidable member to the above position. The slidable member is normally biased by a spring under a second biasing force, greater than the first biasing force, to urge the slidable member to a position in which the pressure fluid source and the wheel cylinder communicate with each other. The fluid pressure in the wheel cylinder is regulated to cause the sum of the fluid pressure in the wheel cylinder and the electromagnetic force from the electromagnetic coil to counterbalance the second biasing force.

摘要: A device used for controlling brake fluid pressure includes a plunger pump, for pressurizing brake fluid, and a drive motor for driving the plunger pump. The plunger pump and the output shaft of the drive motor are coupled together so as to transmit power through a cam mechanism arranged in a motor cam chamber. The motor cam chamber is provided with a communication passageway to allow brake fluid seepage to flow from the motor cam chamber to an interior chamber such as a solenoid chamber and/or one or more spring-enclosing chambers. The motor cam chamber is sealed from the exterior and brake fluid seeping into the motor cam chamber is contained within the interior of the device used for controlling brake fluid pressure.

摘要: A hydraulic pressure controller is provided which includes a hydraulic unit for controlling hydraulic pressure and an electronic control unit. The hydraulic unit includes a block in which are mounted electric actuators. The electronic control unit controls the electric actuators by applying electric signals thereto to control hydraulic pressure produced in the hydraulic unit to external elements in a controlled manner, thereby controlling the behavior of the vehicle. The electronic control unit includes a housing in which are mounted a circuit board and other electronic and electric parts, and a fitting portion provided on the housing so as to face one side of the block. At least one end portion of the block is received in the fitting portion and is engaged by a seal. The controller further includes a fastener for joining the block to the fitting portion.

摘要: A projection is provided in a flange of a resin spool, and a concave portion is provided in a yoke in a position facing the projection. The movement of the spool in the radial direction of the spool is restricted by inserting the projection into the concave portion. Because the inner circumferential surface of the concave portion and the outer circumferential surface of the projection are brought into contact, the movement of the spool in the axial direction of the spool is inhibited by frictional resistance at the points of contact.

摘要: A brake unit has an actuator for an anti-locking brake function, a piping block, buffer pipes made of an elastic material, and metallic pipes that are attached to the piping block. The piping block is coupled to the actuator via the buffer pipes. The piping block may be attached to the actuator via elastic members. The buffer pipes and elastic members help to isolate and prevent the transmission of the oscillations of the actuator. As a result, the buffer pipes and elastic members inhibit the generation of oscillation-induced unpleasant noise felt by the passengers of the vehicle.

摘要: A leaf spring for urging a spool toward a flange part of a yoke is provided between a guide fixed to a housing and the spool. Owing to the urging force of the leaf spring, the spool is pressed against the flange part of the yoke, and the yoke can be pressed against the cover through the spool. Thus it is possible to prevent the spool and the yoke from loosening. Further because the leaf spring is provided for each magnet valve, the leaf spring can be commonly used for respective modes of a fluid control apparatus and thus the cost can be reduced.

摘要: A brake control system for a motor vehicle which is equipped with a running state detector for detecting a running state of the motor vehicle so as to adjust a braking pressure in a wheel-braking cylinder of the motor vehicle in accordance with the detected vehicle running state. The brake control system has a first restriction adjusting valve provided between a hydraulic pressure generating source and the wheel-braking cylinder for adjusting the braking pressure to be supplied from the hydraulic pressure generating source to the wheel-braking cylinder, and a second restriction adjusting valve provided between the wheel-braking cylinder and a reservoir for adjusting a braking liquid to be discharged from the wheel-braking cylinder to the reservoir. Also included in the system is a control unit for outputting control signals to the first and second restriction adjusting valves so as to control the braking pressure in the wheel-braking cylinder in accordance with the detected vehicle running state. This arrangement allows setting of the braking hydraulic pressure increasing and decreasing speeds so as to permit a smooth brake control operation.
