    摘要: A process for production of conical filter elements, in particular slotted tube filter elements, includes forming a support structure of a plurality of support rods around which is wound at least one wire profile in individual turns. Slots are left clear in the wire profile through which a fluid may pass. The wire profile is, at least in part, rigidly connected to the support rods and is enclosed in a screen grid. The screen grid, at least in part, rests against the wire profile, follows to the same extent the conical path of the filter element, and is provided on its ends with end components. Since the conical screen grid is in the form of a one-piece pull-on part fitted on the support structure and since the pull-on part is designed to be longer than the support structure, after the screen grid has been pulled onto the support structure, at least one projecting length of the screen grid may be separated for precision fitting and is connected to the respective end component of the filter element. The screen grid may be produced integrally with the remaining filter element in advance of the connection process and subsequently pulled onto the support structure with wire profile like a stocking.

    摘要: A method of folding a gas bag for a vehicle occupant restraint system is disclosed, this gas bag having a wall delimiting a chamber and having an inflation opening, the inflation opening having a rim. The method comprises the following steps: First, the gas bag is spread out on a base. Then, the rim of the inflation opening of the gas bag is held fixed. Thereafter, a plate is arranged parallel to the base and at a distance therefrom, so that the gas bag extends between the base and the plate. Subsequently, the chamber of the gas bag is exposed to a pressurized medium, so that the gas bag unfolds between the base and the plate. Finally, the wall of the gas bag is pressed inwards at a plurality of sites distributed over a circumference of the gas bag. Further, a gas bag folded by performing this method and a device for performing the method are disclosed.

    摘要: A filter device, particularly for filtering melt-type fluids, such as polymer melts, includes at least one filter disk having two filter disk halves connected to each other by their edges and provided with filter material on their exterior surfaces. The filter disk halves are held apart by a supporting device delimiting a substantially free hollow area between them, through which a fluid can flow freely. Inwardly, they delimit an outflow opening for the melt-type filtered fluid. The supporting device has individual supporting cams of substantially equal outer dimensions and arranged in several groups. Separated from each other, the supporting cams extend radially outwardly form the outflow opening, are rigidly connected to at least one of the two halves, and traverse the hollow area in such a way as to rest against the other filter disk half. This results in a filter device which is economical to produce and which has enhanced filter performance when in operation. It is suited particularly to filtering melt-type liquids, such as polymer melts, under high pressure.

To offer protection over a lengthy period in time amounting to several seconds but nevertheless dissipate the energy of impact to the required degree on impact and cushioning of the occupant, the plies of fabric are substantially air-tight, and the volume of the gas bag is divided by partial interweaving of the plies of fabric within the outer edges into several chambers. Further, the chambers are interconnected by at least one choked port remaining between the portions of the interwoven plies of fabric. Only part of the chambers is directly inflated by an inflator, the remaining part of the chambers being indirectly inflated via the choked port.
