    Abstract: A stent delivery method includes: forming through-holes in an alimentary canal wall and a cyst wall so as to communicate with each other; passing a stent through the through-holes and placing a first expandable part in the alimentary canal and a second expandable part in the cyst; allowing the first expandable part to expand to an expanded state in the alimentary canal; and, after the expansion of the first expandable part, allowing the second expandable part to expand in the cyst while the alimentary canal wall is pressed by the first expandable part in the expanded state.

    Abstract: A puncture needle for an endoscope includes a flexible sheath having a longitudinal axis and deformed to be bent by a raising base, a flexible needle tube having a needle tip and a distal opening section and that is movable in the sheath with respect to the sheath, and a stylet having a distal end surface that is able to advance and retreat in the needle tube and protrude and withdraw from needle tube along the longitudinal axis of the sheath, wherein the stylet retracts the needle tip such that the needle tip of the needle tube is separated from an inner surface of the sheath as the distal end surface of the stylet comes in contact with the inner surface of the sheath formed in the bent shape.

    Abstract: A phototherapy method includes: introducing an ultrasound endoscope into a digestive tract; visualizing an irradiation target site in a body by the ultrasound endoscope introduced into the digestive tract; puncturing a vicinity of the irradiation target site with a distal-end section of a needle tube that is made to protrude from a distal-end section of the ultrasound endoscope introduced into the digestive tract; exposing an optical fiber from the distal-end section of the needle tube that has punctured the vicinity of the irradiation target site, by making the needle tube retreat with respect to the optical fiber accommodated inside the needle tube; and radiating light emitted from the exposed optical fiber onto the irradiation target site.

    Abstract: A light-irradiation-device delivery apparatus includes: a metal needle tube having a longitudinal axis, a side hole, which penetrates from an inner circumferential surface to an outer circumferential surface, and a blade surface at a distal end thereof; an optical fiber that is accommodated inside the needle tube, the optical fiber including a core allowing light to propagate, a clad covering an outer circumferential surface of the core, and an emission area provided at a distal-end section of the optical fiber; and a positioning member that positions the emission area between a distal end and a proximal end of the needle tube in the longitudinal-axis direction. The distal end of the optical fiber is positioned in an interior space of the needle tube in a state where the emission area is positioned between the distal end and the proximal end of the side hole.

    Abstract: An endoscopic surgical device that includes: a sheath; a manipulator; a manipulation wire; a clip body having a pair of arms, connected to a distal end of the manipulation wire, and configured to be capable of advancing and retracting in accordance with manipulation of the manipulator along with a longitudinal axis of the manipulation wire; a holding tube into which a proximal portion of the clip body is inserted to be capable of advancing and retracting; and a biasing member configured to hold a position of the manipulation wire at an initial position. The clip body is nonrotatable around the longitudinal axis at the initial position. When the manipulation wire is advanced a prescribed amount against a biasing force of the biasing member, the clip body is rotatable around the longitudinal axis, and is allowed adjustment of an opening-closing direction of the pair of arms.

    Abstract: An endoscope treatment tool includes: a sheath; a clip unit; a biasing member arranged between a distal end part of the sheath and the clip unit; and a first rotation preventing part capable of preventing the clip unit from rotating relative to the distal end part of the sheath about a longitudinal axis. The clip unit includes: a clip body; a holding tube; and a second rotation preventing part capable of preventing the clip body from rotating relative to the holding tubes about the longitudinal axis. The biasing member biases the holding tube so as to separate from the distal end part of the sheath. When a proximal end part of the holding tube comes into contact with the distal end part of the sheath against the biasing force of the biasing member, the first rotation preventing part prevents the relative rotation of the clip unit.
