Abstract: The present invention provide a method for detecting a test substance utilizing a color development caused by an enzyme reaction, or a color development caused by a specific interaction such as an antigen-antibody reaction and an enzyme reaction, the test substance being detected rapidly, sensitively and quantitatively without using a spectroscopic measurement device. The method for measuring a concentration of a test substance by the present invention comprises the steps of: generating a peroxide from the test substance; obtaining a polymerized substance by bringing an oxidoreductase for producing a polymerized substance and a substrate of the oxidoreductase for producing a polymerized substance into contact with the peroxide; and irradiating the polymerized substance with light to record a temporal variation information of an intensity of scattered light generated from an irradiation point.

Abstract: The present invention provides a surface acoustic wave sensor capable of suitably controlling the flow of a liquid sample onto IDT electrodes. A surface acoustic wave sensor has a piezoelectric substrate, a first IDT electrode and a second IDT electrode which are located on the upper surface of the piezoelectric substrate and are separated from each other while sandwiching a detection part on the piezoelectric substrate therebetween, and the cover which forms the space being on the first IDT electrode, second IDT electrode, and the detection part and straddling them. On the lower surface of the cover, the detection part-facing surface facing the detection part has a smaller contact angle to the liquid sample than that of a pair of electrode-facing surfaces facing the first IDT electrode and second IDT electrode.

Abstract: A purpose is to provide a monitoring system to monitor whether there is a substance to be monitored in the air, and a detecting device used in the monitoring system. The monitoring system includes a detecting device, an analyzing device, and an abnormality notification system. The detecting device determines whether the air is in an abnormal state on the basis of an output signal from an abnormality detection sensor, pours liquid to be inspected, into which the air is sucked and liquefied, into a previously-installed reagent container when determining the abnormal state, generates mixed liquid in which a reactant in the reagent container and the poured liquid to be inspected are mixed, and drops the generated mixed liquid to an electrode of the analyzing device. The analyzing device determines existence/non-existence of a substance to be monitored on the basis of the mixed liquid dropped to the electrode, and gives a predetermined notification to the abnormality notification system when determining that there is the substance to be monitored. The abnormality notification system gives a predetermined notification when receiving the notification from the analyzing device.

Abstract: A purpose is to provide a monitoring system to monitor whether there is a substance to be monitored in the air, and a detecting device used in the monitoring system. The monitoring system includes a detecting device, an analyzing device, and an abnormality notification system. The detecting device determines whether the air is in an abnormal state on the basis of an output signal from an abnormality detection sensor, pours liquid to be inspected, into which the air is sucked and liquefied, into a previously-installed reagent container when determining the abnormal state, generates mixed liquid in which a reactant in the reagent container and the poured liquid to be inspected are mixed, and drops the generated mixed liquid to an electrode of the analyzing device. The analyzing device determines existence/non-existence of a substance to be monitored on the basis of the mixed liquid dropped to the electrode, and gives a predetermined notification to the abnormality notification system when determining that there is the substance to be monitored. The abnormality notification system gives a predetermined notification when receiving the notification from the analyzing device.

Abstract: A sensor is provided with a sensor element which outputs a signal in accordance with a detected object contained in a specimen positioned on a detection part in an element surface and with a package which accommodates the sensor element inside it and has a passage including a space positioned on the element surface. A lower surface of the passage has the element surface and a lower surface of an inflow passage extending toward the space, and a gap is positioned between the lower surface of the inflow passage and the element surface. The element surface is positioned above the lower surface of the inflow passage.
