Abstract: An optoelectronic semiconductor component includes a primary light source including a carrier and a semiconductor layer sequence mounted thereon and configured to generate primary light, and at least one conversion unit of at least one semiconductor material adapted to convert the primary light into at least one secondary light, wherein the semiconductor layer sequence and the converter unit are separate elements, the semiconductor layer sequence includes a plurality of pixels, the pixels are configured to be controlled electrically independently of each other, the carrier includes a plurality of control units configured to drive the pixels, all pixels of a first group are free of a conversion unit and are configured to emit the primary light, all pixels of a second group of pixels include exactly one conversion unit each and are configured to emit the at least one secondary light.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, the method is designed for producing a light-emitting diode display (1). The method comprises the following steps: •A) providing a growth substrate (2); •B) applying a buffer layer (4) directly or indirectly onto a substrate surface (20); •C) producing a plurality of separate growth points (45) on or at the buffer layer (4); •D) producing individual radiation-active islands (5), originating from the growth points (45), wherein the islands (5) each comprise an inorganic semiconductor layer sequence (50) with at least one active zone (55) and have a mean diameter, when viewed from above onto the substrate surface (20), between 50 nm and 20 μm inclusive; and •E) connecting the islands (5) to transistors (6) for electrically controlling the islands (5).

Abstract: An optoelectronic device and a method are disclosed. In an embodiment an optoelectronic device includes a semiconductor body having a layer sequence with an active region configured to generate radiation, a first dielectric layer arranged on the layer sequence having a plurality of first areas and a second area, a first contact via in each area of the plurality of first areas for contacting a first side of the active region, a second contact via in the second area for contacting a second side of the active region and a conductive layer comprising a plurality of first regions and a second region surrounding the plurality of first regions and electrically isolated from the plurality of first regions, the conductive layer having a substantially planar surface and being arranged planar onto the plurality of first areas and the second area such that each of the plurality of first regions of the conductive layer is in contact with the first contact via in the respective area of the plurality of first areas and the second region of the conductive layer is in contact with the second contact via of the first dielectric layer.
