    Abstract: An elevator system (1) includes a load sensor (4, 24, 34, 44), a flexible member (2, 18, 22) and an elevator unit (10, 20, 28) arranged to move vertically in a hoistway. The system is arranged such that the load sensor (4, 24, 34, 44) detects a load from at least a fraction of the flexible member (2, 18, 22) and the fraction of the flexible member (2, 18, 22) that applies load to the load sensor (4, 24, 34, 44) changes as the elevator unit (10, 20, 28) moves vertically in the hoistway. The system further includes a non-volatile memory, arranged to store load conversion information for converting the detected load into an elevator unit position.

    Abstract: Elevator control system, comprising an elevator control device for operating an elevator car which is adapted to be operated within an elevator shaft, and an inspection control station configured to communicate with the elevator control device for operating at least one function of an elevator system in an inspection or maintenance operation mode, and configured for attachment at a storing location, wherein the storing location is at the elevator car or within the elevator shaft or in proximity of the elevator shaft. The inspection control station is adapted to be detachable from the storing location and configured to operate as remote inspection control station when detached from the storing location through wireless communication with the elevator control device, and is configured to be movable and operable in the inspection or maintenance operation mode from inside and outside of the elevator car and within the elevator shaft.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an elevator control system (1), comprising an elevator control device (2) for operating an elevator car (12) which is adapted to be operated within an elevator shaft (18), and an inspection control station (3) configured to communicate with the elevator control device (2) for operating at least one function of an elevator system (10) in an inspection or maintenance operation mode, and configured for attachment at a storing location (71,72) of the elevator system (10), wherein the storing location (71,72) is at the elevator car (12) or within the elevator shaft (18) or in proximity of the elevator shaft (18).     Abstract: An example elevator brake includes a first braking member that is biased by a first spring member into engagement with a braking surface. The first braking member includes a first armature arranged to be actuated by an electromagnetic actuator to disengage the first braking member from the braking surface against the biasing force of the first spring member. A second braking member is biased by a second spring member into engagement with a braking surface. The second braking member includes a second armature arranged to be actuated by an electromagnetic actuator to disengage the second braking member against the biasing force of the second spring member. A first electromagnetic actuator actuates the first armature and a second electromagnetic actuator actuates the second armature.
