The width of the frame part to which the signal line driving element is mounted is approximate to the width of the signal line driving element, and the width of the frame part to which the scanning line driving element is mounted is approximate to the width of the scanning line driving element. The length of at least the scanning line driving element or the signal line driving element is set shorter than the respective frame part so as to keep a space for mounting the flexible flat cable.

The airtight container is decompressed and images of the surface shape of the sealed battery in the airtight container before and after decompression are captured by a CCD camera or the like. Whether or not airtightness of the sealed battery is maintained is determined based on a change in the captured images, e.g. a change in the surface shape appearing as luminance differences of pixels. By this determination method, highly accurate airtightness determination is realized by eliminating the influence of invisible fine creases on a sealed battery surface.

Further, the coils (12), (12′) are energized, the main body (11) is pressed against the guide rail on which the magnet is mounted by the magnetic force that is generated by the energization of the coils (12), (12′) and the piezoelectric elements (13), (13′) are extended and contracted by a voltage applied thereto, thereby the moving body (10) is impact driven. With this operation, the moving body can be micro driven at a pinpoint accuracy. With above arrangement, there can be provided an actuator that can make both a high velocity movement of a large stroke and a micro movement of a pinpoint accuracy.

The drive comprises: (a) a rotatable magnetic disk around an axis; (b) a spindle motor for rotating the disk; (c) a magnetic head for writing information into the disk and for reading information from the disk; (d) an actuator for positioning the head at a desired position over the disk; (e) a disk enclosure for enclosing the disk, the motor, the head, and the actuator; (f) a circuit board fixed to the enclosure; the board having necessary circuits and necessary electronic elements for controlling operation of the drive; the board having a projecting part located outside a footprint of the enclosure; at least part of the elements being mounted on the projecting part. Preferably, the components mounted on the projecting part of the enclosure are higher than the components mounted on the part of the board that is overlapped with the enclosure. An additional circuit board may be provided over the projecting part of the enclosure.
