Abstract: A waste management system and associated method are used to control routing of an autonomous waste receptacle in a facility. The autonomous waste receptacle includes a cavity for storing trash, a trash level sensor for sensing a level of trash stored therein, and a motor operative to move the waste receptacle. Position trackers sense positions of the autonomous waste receptacle and of patrons in the facility. Additionally, concession consumption concession consumption data indicative of sales performed by concessions in the facility are stored. A processing subsystem controls the waste receptacle to move autonomously in the facility along a route determined according to correlations between concession consumption data, trash levels monitored by the waste receptacle, and patron positions.

Abstract: Routing a visitor through a venue includes acquiring desired attractions of a visitor and a desired activity level of the visitor. At least one of a route, venue activity, transportation mode, and food menu selection is recommended to the visitor based on the desired attractions of the visitor and the desired activity level of the visitor. A current location of the visitor is tracked via a wearable device of the visitor. A current activity level of the visitor is acquired via the wearable device. A comparison is performed of the current activity level of the visitor and the desired activity level of the visitor. At least one of the recommended route, venue activity, transportation mode, and food menu selection may be updated based on the current location of the visitor and a comparison of the current activity level of the visitor with the desired activity level of the visitor.

Abstract: Embodiments for tracking real-world activities are described herein. An exemplary system for tracking real-world activities may include a database and a server in communication with guest communication devices. Such a database may stores digital tickets for each of the guests of a venue, as well as information regarding a plurality of real-world activities that are each defined based on one or more conditions and associated with a predetermined reward. The server may include a communication interface that receives information captured by an active communication device of one of the guests and a processor that executes instructions to analyze the captured information to detect one or more conditions associated with one of the real-world activities and to update the digital ticket associated with the active communication device regarding the predetermined reward. A notification may then be sent to the active communication device regarding the reward.

Abstract: Messaging based on a wait time for an attraction is provided. Visitor attraction interest information, attraction condition information, and attraction traffic information is acquired using a processor. A first visitor route is calculated based on the visitor attraction interest information. A first attraction wait time is calculated based on the first visitor route, the attraction condition information and the attraction traffic information. A second visitor route is calculated if the first attraction wait time that is calculated exceeds a pre-determined threshold. Then, a second attraction wait time is calculated based on the acquired visitor attraction interest information and the at least one second visitor route. The processor determines an alternative attraction based on the at least one second attraction wait time and identifies an incentive corresponding to the alternative attraction. The incentive is displayed on a user interface.

Abstract: A system and method for a universal device accessory (i.e. dongle) that is compatible with various different user devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets) that includes functionalities associated with the particular location (e.g. resort, theme park) is described herein. The universal device accessory would be designed specifically for the location in order to provide the user device with a streamlined suite of tools that would allow the user to interact with the location's native software and infrastructure through the user device. Abstract: Embodiments for monitoring ride conditions at theme parks in order to provide predictions when maintenance and/or expected downtime may occur. The monitored ride conditions are also used alongside information obtained from tracking patrons and predicted activity at the theme park in order to provide predictions for wait times at the various attractions. The predictions for maintenance and wait times can be displayed for the patrons. Furthermore, these predictions also provide the embodiments of the present application the ability to identify alternative attractions for situations where the predicted wait time for the attraction is too long.
