Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to monitoring condition compliance. In some embodiments, a system comprises a child device comprising a child device sensor configured to capture condition data, a child device memory configured to store the condition data, a child device transmitter configured to transmit the condition data, and a control circuit configured to cause transmission of a discovery message, receive acknowledgment messages, determine if the discovery message reached a parent device, if the discovery message reached a parent device, cause transmission of the condition data to the parent device, and if the discovery message did not reach a parent device, determine, from the other devices, one of the other devices, and cause transmission of the condition data to the one of the other devices, and the parent device configured to store and transmit condition data received from a plurality of child devices.

Abstract: In a base station, control circuitry determines, based on an offset for defining a frequency position of a narrowband allocated to an MPDCCH and a resource block group size of a system band, allocations of a first EPDCCH set and a second EPDCCH set that constitute the MPDCCH. The MPDCCH is a PDCCH for MTC. The second EPDCCH set has a different number of PRBs from the first EPDCCH set. A transmitter transmits a control signal according to the allocations of the first EPDCCH set and the second EPDCCH set. Further, the control circuitry controls a number of RBGs in which both the first EPDCCH set and the second EPDCCH set are allocated to be zeto or one.

Abstract: A system and method for food traceability from a food service location to the consumer is disclosed. The method comprises marking food items with a received label as the food items are received. This received label identifies a storage location for the food item and generates traceability information for the food item. If the food item is not intended for storage, then the food item is transferred to a prep table and unique item information is generated for the food item. The food item can then be prepped for usage. During the prepping process, the food item's expiration date is verified, and a serial number is generated, and a use by date is calculated. If the prepped food item is to be served to a consumer, a label is generated with traceability information, and unneeded ingredients are re-purposed or properly disposed of.

Abstract: A method collects data in a network by operation of a local sensor of a consumption meter where the network is part of a supply network. The network distributes a consumable good. The sensor has a measuring element providing raw measurement data corresponding to a physical or physicochemical value or parameter. The sensor has a wired and/or radio communication device and a memory. For the determination of the measurement resolution of the sensor the conditions for generating time stampings using a correlation model are determined in advance, on the basis of the correlation model time stampings of successive raw measurement data in the sensor are generated. The time stampings are transmitted over a wired connection and/or a radio link so that on the basis of the time stampings using the correlation model the raw measurement data collected by the measuring element are reconstructed and evaluated and used for network monitoring.

Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, systems for enabling facilities to customize the layouts of items located within the facilities. For instance, an entity may be associated with multiple facilities. The facilities may be located at various geographic locations, include various retail layouts/sizes, sell various items, and/or the like. As such, it may be difficult to generate planograms that can be used by more than one of the facilities. Therefore, for different facilities, the entity may determine (1) locations of inventory locations within the facilities, (2) categories of items to include at the inventory locations, (3) identifiers of items associated with the categories, (4) quantities of items to include at the inventory locations, and/or the like. The facilities can then use these determinations to determine the actual items, as well as the locations for the actual items, at the inventory locations.

Abstract: An improved system detects an environmental anomaly in a shipping container and initiates a mediation response through a generated layered alert notification. The system includes sensor-based ID nodes associated with packages within the container, and a command node mounted to the container communicating with the ID nodes and an external transceiver on a vehicle transporting the container. The command node is programmed to detect sensor data from the ID nodes; compare the sensor data to package environmental thresholds in context data related to each ID node; detect the environmental anomaly when the comparison indicates an environmental condition for at least one package exceeds its environmental threshold; responsively generate a layered alert notification identifying a mediation recipient and mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority based upon the comparison; and transmit the layered alert notification to the transceiver unit to initiate a mediation response related to the mediation action.
