Abstract: A wearable device is used to authenticate a user into a user account at a user device of the user. In particular, the wearable device may include a sensor configured to detect whether the wearable device is worn by or is with the user. If so, the wearable device may send a signal to the user device and the user device may authenticate the user based on the signal received from the wearable device. For example, when the sensor detects that the wearable device is worn by the user, the wearable device may send a unique signal periodically, such as every five seconds or every 10 seconds. Based on whether the unique signal from the wearable device is received, the user device may authenticate the user.

A user may travel with a device, such as a communication device, that includes a communication module that may utilize specialized hardware features to establish short range wireless communications with nearby wireless beacons. The wireless beacons may be established at or nearby transportation service terminals, such as bus/train stops. The beacon may provide the aforementioned communication services with the communication device and be utilized to determine whether the user will utilize a transportation service for the terminal. If the user wishes to utilize the transportation service, a transportation service may be alerted. The user may also be alerted of an expected time of arrival for the transportation service, other transportation services available at the transportation terminal, and/or of nearby transportation terminals.

Abstract: There are provided systems and method for targeted assistance on user check-in. A service location may provide beacons at or near the location to determine if a user approaching or at the service location has any experience with the service location. For example, a merchant may place a beacon at the entrance to a store to determine if a user has shopped at the store. Thus, when a user is in proximity to the beacon, a user device of the user and the beacon may establish a check-in. Through a user identifier communicated to the beacon, the service provider at the location may determine a user history, such as a number of visits by the user to the service location. The service location may then provide targeted assistance, such as information, personal help, item searches, etc., based on the user's history with the merchant.
