Abstract:
A thermal image sensor including: a plurality of infrared detector elements that detect infrared light in a detection area; and rotors that scan the detection area in a scanning direction to detect, with the plurality of infrared detector elements, infrared light in an area to be captured as a single thermal image. The plurality of infrared detector elements include infrared detector elements arranged in mutually different positions in a rotational direction corresponding to the scanning direction of the plurality of infrared detector elements.
Abstract:
A control method of a personal authentication apparatus and a personal authentication apparatus stores a piece of authentication information of a predetermined user. The method and apparatus estimates an emotion felt by a target user, based on a physical quantity acquired by a sensor, generates identification information that identifies an object that causes the target user to feel the estimated emotion, based on the physical quantity acquired by the sensor or presentation information presented by a presenter, and determines whether the target user is the predetermined user based on the estimated emotion and the generated identification information and the piece of authentication information of the predetermined user.

A matching method includes: accumulating log information indicating histories of operations performed on devices by users; receiving a request for information regarding use of a first device from an information requester being one of the users and using the first device; analyzing log information of the first device from among the log information accumulated in the accumulating; identifying, as an information provider candidate, at least one of the users using a second device by using the log information of the first device analyzed in the analyzing and log information of the second device being of the same type as the first device; notifying the information provider candidate of the request from the information requester; and notifying the information requester of provided information which is information regarding use of the first device and provided by the information provider candidate in response to the request.
Abstract:
In a method for controlling an information display apparatus that displays information on a display seen by a plurality of users, a feeling of a first user among the plurality of users is estimated on the basis of a physical value obtained from a sensor, it is determined, using the obtained physical value or the estimated feeling, whether to display the estimated feeling, and the display is controlled in accordance with a result of the determination.
Abstract:
A method for estimating a physical condition used by a computer includes simultaneously measuring blood flow volumes of at least two body parts of a person and estimating the person's physical condition on the basis of the blood flow volumes of the at least two body parts measured in the simultaneously measuring.

Abstract:
A configuration method for a sound collection system for a meeting using a plurality of terminals, the system obtaining speech from the terminals. The method includes: receiving external sounds from the respective terminals as collected-sound data, the external sounds being collected by the respective terminals; and determining a meeting to which each of the terminals belongs, in accordance with a degree of similarity between the collected-sound data. At least one of the receiving the collected-sound data and the determining the meeting is performed by a processor.
Abstract:
In a case of receiving, from an audio input device, instruction information including first audio information indicating operation instructions for a cooking appliance when first and second cooking units are executing first and second cooking programs, respectively, operation instructions are recognized from the first audio information. In a case where it is determined that the instruction information includes second audio information related to the first cooking menu information or the second cooking menu information, a control command is transmitted to the cooking appliance to cause the cooking appliance to execute a process corresponding to the operation instructions, without executing a process according to the first cooking program or the second cooking program corresponding to one of the first cooking menu information or the second cooking menu information to which the second audio information is related.
Abstract:
A premium update system includes: an article transmission unit (607) which transmits via a network an article by a policy holder who has signed a predetermined contract with a service provider providing a predetermined service; an article display unit (609) which displays the article transmitted by the article transmission unit (607) to a viewer other than the policy holder; an interaction degree determination unit (901) which determines an interaction degree showing the degree of interaction relationship between the policy holder and the viewer; and a premium update unit (604) which determines the content (premium) of the contract in accordance with the interaction degree determined by the interaction degree determination unit (901).
