摘要:
Devices and methods of use or treatment are disclosed for creating fibrosis and resulting in amenorrhea. In particular, the device relates to an easily deployed intrauterine implant that readily and consistently reduces or eliminates abnormal intrauterine bleeding. In addition, the device is also used as a uterine marker for visualizing endometrial tissue thickness and potential changes. The methods of the present invention serve as a supplement to or a replacement for conventional treatments and procedures used to treat menorrhagia.
摘要:
In general, the present invention contemplates an implantable device for treating excessive bleeding in a body cavity. The device comprises a biocompatible material, for example polyethylene teraphathalate (PET), which is deliverable into the body cavity. The biocompatible material contains an attribute(s) that promotes tissue reaction or growth that results in a tissue response and/or adhesion formation within the body cavity to reduce or stop the excessive bleeding.
摘要:
The present invention contemplates a biocompatible and bioreactive process and device that causes a tissue response in the uterus of a female so as to treat a bleeding pattern. Such a tissue response is bioreactive in nature and substantially noninflammatory. It causes migration of myometrial tissue into the implant and deactivates the normal interrelated cycle of endometrial tissue recycling.

A negative pressure (i.e., vacuum or suction) wound healing device and system incorporating the device. The device of the present disclosure is smaller, lighter, portable, and overall more manageable by both the user and the medical personnel than the conventional systems. The device could be readily worn by the user.

Fluid injector systems used for a variety of imaging and injection procedures are disclosed. The systems may include separate modules or assemblies that may be located in different rooms of a hospital or imaging facility. Various single use and multiple use components may also be used with the modules or assemblies of the system. In addition, the injector system may include hydraulic and/or pneumatic fluid sources to power the system modules of the present invention.
摘要:
A injection system having a syringe body which defines a pumping chamber. A syringe plunger is located in the pumping chamber and is adapted for reciprocal motion within the pumping chamber. The syringe plunger includes a capture member projecting outwardly in a proximal direction. An actuating shaft is coupled to the syringe plunger and is movable through the syringe body to control movement of the syringe plunger. The capture member is adapted to flex radially outwardly when contacted by the actuating shaft to form a releasable engagement with the actuating shaft when the actuating shaft and the capture member are in an engagement position. A release actuator is disposed proximal to the syringe body, and the capture member releases the actuating shaft upon engagement with the release actuator.

Devices that detect and monitor components and fluid used with an injector system, such as an angiographic injector system, are disclosed. The devices may include mechanical, electrical or software based indexing or keying features to ensure that only compatible components are used on the system. In addition, these devices may also be used to track and/or monitor fluid volume and use during various injection procedures. Single use and multiple use components, conveniently supplied in kits, may also be tracked and/or monitored by the devices of the present invention.

Systems and associated methods are provided for improving detection and measurement of elements in a medium, particularly the measurement of gaseous bubbles in liquid medium, such as blood injected into a patient's body. The systems include a radiation emitter to emit radiation for traversing through a medium, and an analyzer subsystem to receive and to analyze the traversed radiation for presence and/or absence of gaseous elements in the medium. The methods include receiving at least one collection of data corresponding to at least one emitted radiation traversed through a medium, analyzing said collection of data for at least one predetermined condition; and generating a response upon detection of at least one predetermined condition.
