    摘要: The present invention relates to a device for setting a spine having damaged vertebrae, comprising an anchoring element including a shaft portion (16) to be attached to spaced vertebrae, the free end of said anchoring element including a slot (24) for receiving a distracting or, respectively, compressing bar (40) and a cap nut (42) to be screwed onto an outer thread (32) provided in the region of the receiving slot to urge an axial fixing portion (44) towards the bar received in said receiving slot. The invention is defined in that the receiving slot (24) is formed in a separate swivel head (20) including an inner end in the shape of a ball receiving portion (23) which has an aperture (28) through which said shaft portion (16;52) of the anchoring element (10;50) extends, wherein the diameter of the shaft portion adjacent said aperture is smaller than that of said aperture ( 28 ), and that a ball head ( 14;56 ) is provided at the end of the shaft portion ( 16;52), said ball head having a diameter larger than that of said aperture (28) and said ball head (14;56) in the ball receiving portion (23) entering the terminal region of said receiving slot (24) .

    摘要: The invention relates to a connecting element for connecting a screw in the spine with a stabilizing rod, the connecting element being easily and quickly securable. The connecting element includes a receiving section which receives the stabilizing rod and which is part of a tension member having a threaded shank. A sleeve is arranged around the receiving section and can slide parallel to the shank axis. In the wall of the sleeve, two openings are present for positioning the rod. The connecting element further includes a nut which can be screwed onto the shank in order to fix the head of the pedicle screw at the sleeve. This connecting element has the advantage that by a single securing process (i.e., the tightening of the nut) the rod can be fixed in the receptacle of the tension member and the connecting element can be secured at the screw head. Preferably, the receptacle for the rod and the recesses of the sleeve are formed so that an opening is formed which extends transversely through the sleeve and the tension member, with the rod being fixable in that opening by tightening the nut.

    摘要: An apparatus for correcting a spinal column having damaged vertebrae comprises a fastener (which is preferably a pedicle screw) having a receiving slot for holding a distracting or compressing bar. The bar is positioned within the slot in a manner permitting adjustment and is then locked in a fixed position, both functions achieved by a special two-part locking element which first holds and then rigidly locks the bar and fastener together. A method for correcting a spinal column having damaged vertebrae is also given.

    摘要: An implantation system for a locking nail has an aiming device, wherein the locking nail is formed for detachable attachment to the aiming device at the one end thereof. The nail has two locking holes on the other end and has an exterior feature such as a groove connecting the locking holes which groove is parallel to the axis, or indentations or elevations running in the perimeter direction in the region of the locking holes. The aiming device has a rigid aiming arm with a free end portion having three aiming bores arranged in a plane generally parallel to the axis. The outer two of the aiming bores are located at a distance from each other which corresponds to the distance of the distal locking holes of the locking nail. The system further has a connecting piece universally movable on the aiming arm. The connecting piece has an accommodation aperture for selective detachable attachment to a rod-like nail adapter which, on its part, has a coupling for detachable attachment of the locking nail.

    摘要: A locking nail includes a shank, at least one cross-bore close to one end and at least one cross-bore close to the other end. The cross-bores for receiving a bone screw each. An additional cross-bore located at one end of the nail is of an elongate shape in the longitudinal direction of the nail. A female thread is formed in a hollow-designed shank portion having the elongate cross-bore. A locking member with a male-threaded portion which is adapted to be screwed into the female thread in the hollow portion and interact with the bone screw in the elongate cross-bore in order to displace it transversely to its longitudinal axis in the cross-bore. A second cross-bore is provided for a bone screw between the elongate cross-bore and the adjacent end of the shank. The arrangement of the female thread is such and the length of the locking member and the location of the second cross-bore are sized such that the locking member largely leaves vacant the second bore even if the bone screw which is in the elongate cross-bore bears against the end of the elongate cross-bore facing the shank end. This allows for the insertion of a second bone screw in the second bore.
