Abstract:
A method for removing acid gases from a fluid stream comprises a) treating the fluid stream in an absorption zone with an absorption medium which comprises an aqueous solution of at least one amine, conducting the treated fluid stream through at least two scrubbing zones and treating it with a non-acidic aqueous phase in order to transfer entrained amine and/or entrained amine decomposition products at least in part to the aqueous phase, wherein aqueous phase is recycled via at least one scrubbing zone and aqueous phase is conducted through at least one scrubbing zone without recycling. The method permits efficient retention of amines from the treated fluid streams.

Abstract:
A metallurgical plant comprises a tiltable metallurgical vessel (1) and an enclosure surrounding said vessel. The vessel is provided with a cover (6), which is adapted to be lifted and to be horizontally pivotally moved away from the vessel (1) so as to permit the vessel to be charged by means of a charging box (5), which is suspended from a charging crane disposed outside the enclosure. To simplify the access to the metallurgical vessel (1) and substantially to prevent or minimize an escape of flue gas from the enclosure, a charging opening (8) which is adapted to be closed, is formed in the enclosure in a side wall (2) thereof which extends transversely to the horizontal axis about which the vessel (1) is tiltable, and the enclosure is formed in its top wall (4) with a top wall opening (11), which opens into the charging opening (8) and extends from the latter in the direction of said horizontal axis and is adapted to receive the crane ropes (10).

Abstract:
An exhaust gas turbocharger has a movable control piston in a turbine casing. The piston is made up of a circular cylindrical body, subjected to exhaust gas pressure, or external pressure and a volute body. The volute body has substantially the cross section of the inlet volute space and adjusts the volume of the latter to the current exhaust gas flow in order to achieve optimum torque variation over the load range of the engine.
Abstract:
A valve guide arrangement for a valve in a bypass or shunt duct of exhaust gas ducting equipment of naturally induced or supercharged engines, in which arrangement the stem of the valve is caused to slide in a valve guide formed as a bush and fixed rigidly in a housing part and an annular space is provided under the valve guide and surrounding the valve stem and operating as a settling space, this annular space being connected with the bypass or shunt duct by means of an annular gap operating as a throttle and formed by the valve stem and the housing part. The object of this special valve guide arrangement is to prevent valve jamming due to the solid exhaust-gas constituents found in the exhaust gas flow.
Abstract:
Described is a process for the level dyeing of polyacrylonitrile materials of slow, normal and rapid absorptive capacity with an aqueous dye liquor, which process comprises using a liquor containing at least one migrating cationic dye as well as, if required, further additives; and adding to the liquor, before, during or after dyeing, at least one organic cationic migration auxiliary. This process renders possible by the use of organic migration auxiliaries the obtainment of level single-shade and, in particular, combination-shade dyeings at normal dyeing temperatures.Particularly suitable migrating cationic dyestuffs are those having a more or less delocalized positive charge, the cation weight of which dyestuffs is smaller than 310, the parachor smaller than 750 and the log P (relative lipophil property) smaller than 3.6.Particularly suitable organic migration auxiliaries are those of which the cation weight is smaller than 250, the parachor smaller than 700 and the log P smaller than 6.4.
Abstract:
Described is a process for the level dyeing of polyacrylonitrile materials, in which process there is used for dyeing polyacrylonitrile materials that have varying substantivity an aqueous dye liquor containing at least one migrating cationic dyestuff and electrolyte, as well as, optionally, at least one migrating cationic retarder and further additives. This process renders possible a level dyeing of all fibre types of polyacrylonitrile materials by one and the same dyeing method. Generally, no addition of a migrating cationic retarder is necessary. Only in the case of a light-colored dyeing is a very minor addition thereof required. Particularly suitable migrating cationic dyestuffs are those having a more or less delocalized positive charge, the cation weight of which dyestuffs is smaller than 310, the parachor smaller than 750 and the log P (relative lipophil property) smaller than 3.6.
