摘要: An improved process for deacidizing a gaseous mixture with reduced overall energy costs is described. The process involves contacting the gaseous mixture with at least one of a vaporizing compound, a vaporized compound, a vaporizing solution of compound and a vaporized solution of compound, and forming a liquid or solid reaction product that can be easily separated from the gaseous mixture.

摘要: In one embodiment, a carbon dioxide recovery apparatus includes a heat exchanger which heats a first rich liquid, a flow divider which divides the first rich liquid heated by the heat exchanger into a second rich liquid and a third rich liquid, a first release device which heats the second rich liquid and discharges a first semi-lean liquid, a second release device which heats the third rich liquid and discharges a second semi-lean liquid, and a regeneration tower which heats the first and second semi-lean liquids to generate a lean liquid. The first release device heats the second rich liquid, using the lean liquid. The second release device heats the third rich liquid, using a carbon dioxide-containing steam discharged at the regeneration tower. The heat exchanger heats the first rich liquid, using the lean liquid which has passed through the first release device.

摘要: A system for carbon dioxide capture from a gas mixture comprises an absorber that receives a lean solvent system stream (containing a chemical solvent, physical-solvent additive, and water) from the stripper, a stripper that receives the rich solvent stream from the absorber and produces the product carbon dioxide and the lean solvent through the use of a reboiler in fluid communication with a lower portion of the stripper, a condenser in fluid communication with a vapor outlet of the stripper, a cross-exchanger in fluid communication with a rich solvent system outlet from the absorber and a rich solvent system inlet on the stripper, and a splitter. The splitter is configured to separate the rich solvent system stream into a first portion and a second portion, where the first portion directly passes to the stripper and the second portion passes through the cross-exchanger prior to passing to the stripper.

摘要: An air pollution control system includes CO2 absorber that removes CO2, and an absorbent regenerator that releases CO2 from the amine absorbent. The CO2 absorber is equipped with a CO2 absorption unit that absorbs CO2 in the flue gas by the amine absorbent (lean solution), and a water-repellent filter unit that is provided on an upper part (gas flow downstream) side of the CO2 absorption unit and collects the mist amine absorbent accompanied by the CO2-free flue gas. The mist amine accompanied by the CO2-free flue gas is collected.

摘要: A system and process for selectively separating H2S from a gas mixture which also comprises CO2 is disclosed. A water recycle stream is fed to the absorber in order to create a higher concentration absorbent above the recycle feed and having a greater H2S selectivity at lower acid gas loadings, and a more dilute absorbent below the recycle feed and having a greater H2S selectivity at higher acid gas loadings. Also disclosed is a system and process for selectively separating H2S by utilizing two different absorbents, one absorbent for the upper section of the absorber, tailored to have a greater H2S selectivity at lower acid gas loadings, and a second absorbent for the lower section of the absorber, tailored to have a greater H2S selectivity at higher acid gas loadings.

摘要: The invention generally relates to processes for reducing fouling in amine systems and to equipment useful in such processes. Such amine systems are useful for removing one or more acidic gases such as CO2 or H2S from olefin containing hydrocarbon streams. The invention generally relates to minimizing residence time of foulant and foulant precursors at the relatively high temperature found in the amine regenerator and/or to purging the foulant and foulant precursors from the regenerator system. This is accomplished by operating the regenerator column as a stripper (no reflux) and re-routing reflux liquid containing foulant or foulant precursors to a processing location that is less prone to fouling or, optionally, by replacing the reflux liquid with fresh make-up amine or water.

摘要: A gas pressurized separation system strips a product gas from a stream yielding a high pressure gaseous effluent containing the product gas such as may be used to capture CO2 from coal fired post combustion flue gas capture and to purify natural gas, syngas and EOR recycle gas. The system comprises a gas pressurized stripping column allowing flow of one or more raw streams in a first direction and allowing flow of one or more high pressure gas streams in a second direction, to strip the product gas into the high pressure gas stream and yield a high pressure gaseous effluent that contains the product gas. The process can further comprise a final separation process to further purify the product gas from the GPS column. For CO2 product, a preferred energy efficient final separation process, compound compression and refrigeration process, is also introduced.
