    摘要: This invention relates to an automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation device for cyclically compressing a patient's chest. The CPR device comprises a front structure with a first and a second movable unit arranged to move back and forth along said front structure; a back support for positioning behind the patient's back arranged to keep the front structure in a fixed position relative to the patient's back; a chest pad; two arms each rotatably coupled to the chest pad with one end and each being rotatably coupled to a respective one of the first and the second movable units; and a motor arranged for, when in operation, driving the first and the second movable units back and forth such that the chest pad cyclically compresses the patient's chest.

    摘要: A cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) simulation load capable of simulating a reactive force of a patient's chest upon chest depression, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation simulation load comprising an active actuator (M) arranged to generate at least part of the reactive force, and a controller (CTRL) arranged to provide a control signal to the active actuator. A CPR simulation manikin comprising such a CPR simulation load is also proposed. Furthermore, a method for simulating a reactive force of a patient's chest during cardiopulmonary resuscitation by means of a simulation manikin, the method comprising: measuring a depression of a simulation manikin chest; calculating a resulting reactive force depending on the measured depression of the simulation manikin chest; applying the resulting reactive force to the patient's chest by means of an active actuator. With an active actuator the simulated reactive force may be more easily adjusted and the non-linear behavior of a true patient's chest can be accurately modeled.

    摘要: Initial setup of a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation device (100) is to be accomplished so that a contact pad (102) of the device makes the correct contact with the chest before the device starts giving chest compressions to the patient. Thereby situations where the contact pad is not in initial contact with the chest or situations where the contact pad initially compresses the chest too much are avoided. The position of the contact pad is measured during initial setup, and when contact between the chest and the contact pad is established, the actual position of the contact pad is measured and set as an initial position. Then a positioning range is set relative to the initial position. Therefore, the CPR device is provided with a positioning aid (131) which informs the rescuer when the contact pad is within the positioning range or when the contact pad is outside the initial positioning range.
