摘要: An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) includes a frame and a pair of front and rear wheels suspended from the frame. A straddle-type seat has a main portion and a secondary portion to accommodate a driver and a passenger. The wheelbase of the ATV is increased in length (compared to conventional ATVs) so as to increase stability and comfort for the driver, and/or to accommodate a passenger behind the driver. The passenger and secondary seat portion are disposed in front of the rear wheel axis and moved closer to the center of the wheelbase. Moreover, the combined center or gravity of the ATV, rider, and passenger is moved closer to the center of the wheelbase to improve stability, comfort and/or safety. The driver and passenger each have sufficient space to actively position themselves without significantly interfering with each other.

摘要: An ATV is described with a frame and at least three wheels suspended from the frame. At least one of the wheels is a front wheel and at least one of the wheels is a rear wheel. The front wheel defines a front axis and the rear wheel defines a rear axis. A power unit drives at least one of the wheels on the frame. A straddle-type seat is provided with a main seat portion for a driver and a secondary seat portion, rearward of the main portion, for a passenger. A back rest is also provided for the secondary seat portion, the back rest having a back-supporting front surface positioned in front of the rear axis. At least one of the wheels is steered by a steering member.

The rear footrests pivot from a stowed non-supporting position to a supporting position. When folded into the non-supporting position, the rear footrests become substantially flush with side paneling of the vehicle. The all-terrain vehicle may further include a pair of vertical and horizontal adjustment mechanisms for independently vertically adjusting each of the rear passenger footrests so that passengers of varying height can be comfortably accommodated on the rear seat. A cargo space is provided under the passenger's footrest, the cargo space being enlarged when the passenger's footrests are in the stowed position. Restraints and other holding mechanisms are also provided. The flip-down adjustable rear footrests may be used on other types of straddle-type recreational vehicles.

Also provided is a door operator that compares door speed to a desired door speed based on a door speed-position profile and generates a door speed error signal and minimizes the door speed error signal by adjusting the braking load resulting from charging a chargeable battery using the motor as a generator.

摘要: A system and method for removing an electronic component from a substrate is described. In one embodiment, a method in accordance with the invention includes initially preheating a substrate, wherein an electronic component (such as a microchip or discrete electronic component) is attached to the substrate by one or more solder connections. A thermally conductive picker head is applied to the electronic component to quench the electronic component and generate a temperature gradient across the solder connections. Tension is applied to the electronic component using the picker head. The substrate is then heated until a melting point is reached at the interface between the substrate and the solder connections. When the melting point is reached, the tension applied by the picker head removes the electronic component from the substrate. Most if not all of the solder associated with the solder connections is removed with the electronic component.
