摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for responding to a threat condition within the network data processing system. A threat condition within the network data processing system is detected. At least one routing device is dynamically reconfigured within the network data processing system to isolate or segregate one or more infected data processing systems within the network data processing system. This dynamic reconfiguration occurs in response to the threat condition being detected.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer program products for improving network operations by dynamically undeploying services (such as web services or other network-accessible services) in a computing network. A process is defined whereby conditions such as usage metrics for incoming client requests (or other network conditions such as load balancing considerations) are monitored, and used to trigger dynamic undeployment of web services from locations in the network. The undeployment may apply to distributed locations of a service, and may also apply to an origin server from which the service was originally deployed. Service requests are dynamically routed to the destination where the service resides, in a manner which is transparent to the client.

摘要: A method, computer program product and network management server for distributing software. The network management server receives a request to deploy an application on a designated target client station at a designated scheduled time. The network management server determines whether to deploy the application on the designated target client station at the designated time based on the resource state of the systems involved in the deployment of the software (e.g., processor usage of the network management server, processor usage of the target client station) as well as the environmental conditions (e.g., bandwidth usage, time of day pricing for connectivity at scheduled time, work orders on the target client station). By taking into consideration the dynamic resource state of the systems involved in the deployment of the software as well as the environmental conditions, software may be deployed on the client stations by the network management server more effectively.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer program products are disclosed for dynamically integrating software resources (such as web services and other back-end software resources) using the services of a content framework (such as a portal platform). A portlet model is leveraged to allow programmatic portlets to serve as proxies for web services, thereby extending portlets beyond their traditional visual role. A deployment interface and a system interface are described for these portlet proxies. The deployment interface is used for composing new web services, and a composition tool is described. The system interface allows for run-time management of the web services by the portal platform. The service provider for a particular function may be bound to the portlet proxy at development time or at run-time.

摘要: A ball joint (10) for supporting a first suspension member (12) for movement relative to a second suspension member (14) comprises a socket (30) for connection with the first suspension member, a bearing (38) in the socket, and a stud (40) having a first end portion (42) and a second end portion (50). The bearing (38) supports the first end portion (40) of the stud (40) in the socket (30) for pivotal movement relative to the socket. The second end portion (50) of the stud (40) projects from the socket (30) for connection with the second suspension member (14). The second end portion (50) of the stud (40) has a tapered outer surface (60). The second suspension member (14) has a tapered inner surface (22) defining an opening (24) in the second suspension member. The ball joint (10) further comprises a collar (70) on the stud (40). The collar (70) has a tapered inner surface (76) in engagement with the tapered outer surface (60) of the stud, and a tapered outer surface (78) in engagement with the tapered inner surface (22) of the second suspension member (14).
