In a composition of this kind the porphyrin synergically reinforces the anti-free radical action of the superoxide dismutase.The composition is used in particular to combat cell ageing and/or for the protection of the skin, hair and/or mucosae against the harmful and/or unaesthetic effects caused by oxygen-containing free radicals.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic method intended in particular to improve the appearance of the skin and/or hair comprising the simultaneous and/or sequential administration: a) of at least one compound bioconvertible by lipase; and b) of at least one light radiation exhibiting at least one predominant wavelength which activates lipase.
