摘要: A medical examination table comprises a pedestal to which an end of a rocker is hinged. An underframe is fixed rotationally to the other end of the rocker. By acting on the two axes of rotation, the table may enable motions that are as different as a simple raising motion and tilting motions of various amplitudes in one direction or another. The advantage of the invention is that it provides a simplification of the industrial-scale manufacturing of tables with or without a rocker.

摘要: A printing assembly having a guiding and driving system for moving an article past ink emission nozzles. A detecting device detects the movement of the article through the assembly and based on that detection triggers emission of ink by the nozzles. Compressed air jets are forced toward the article, creating suction due to the Bernoulli effect which effectively maintains the article a set distance from the nozzles.

摘要: The invention relates to materials and method for forming composite packages comprising a first flexible material (11) and a second relatively rigid material (12) which are connected together without the use of additional connecting materials. The connection is achieved by causing the flexible material (11) to be deformed to cooperate in tension with interrupted zones (19) of the relatively rigid material (12). Many different packages may be formed for a variety of uses but the invention is particularly suitable for connecting a heat shrinkable plastic body part to a paperboard or like sheet material end part.

摘要: An apparatus for automatically dispensing a measured volume of liquid has a cylinder and a piston. The liquid is fed to one end of the cylinder and displaces the piston which expels from the other end of the cylinder a quantity of liquid proportional to the piston stroke. At the end of the stroke, the piston abuts and closes a switch which actuates an electric motor driving a four-way rotary valve to reverse the liquid flow direction in the cylinder, whereby the piston moves in the opposite direction to discharge a measured amount of the liquid which was previously used to push the piston. The piston, at the end of its second stroke, again strikes and causes the closing of a second electric switch which produces rotation of the four-way valve to again reverse the liquid flow to its original direction.

摘要: A tent peg to positively prevent collapse of a tent under strong winds. The tent peg has a straight elongated body and a short angularly directed branch near the upper end thereof, adapted to be set to the vertical to be inserted within and attached to a tubular tent post to prevent its horizontal and vertical displacement. The tent peg is further provided with means to resist its pulling off the ground. These means include teeth on the body and the fact that in one embodiment of the peg, the body has a V-shape cross-section tapering towards its ground-engaging pointed end, whereby trapping earth, which resists pulling. The peg is provided with means for attaching tent cords, tent metal eyelets to further maintain the tent in erected position. The peg is also provided with means to interconnect it with another peg driven at an angle forming a V-shape arrangement within the ground to further resist pulling the peg off the ground.
