    摘要: A reverse osmosis device for purifying water from a source comprising a housing having an inlet for passage of water from the source, a first outlet for passage of purified water from the housing and a second outlet for passage of waste water remaining after purification. A first reverse osmosis multilayer assembly is disposed within the housing in fluid communication with the inlet for purification of at least a first portion of the water from the source. Water treatment chemicals can be positioned in a core about which the first reserve osmosis multilayer assembly is wound. The treatment chemicals are in fluid communication with the first reverse osmosis multilayer assembly to receive the first purified portion of water and for removal of at least chemical contaminants therefrom. A second reverse osmosis multilayer assembly is also wound on the core and is in fluid communication with the water treatment chemicals to receive the chemically purified water for purification of at least a second portion thereof. The second reserve osmosis multilayer assembly is in fluid communication with the first outlet so as to permit passage of the second portion of purified water therethrough.

    摘要: A securing collar is used in combination with two tubular flow connectors to prevent the inadvertent disconnection of I.V. tubing sets. The securing collar includes a housing supported by one of the connectors, a radial flange extending from the housing, a tubular collar having a outwardly splayed end, at least two notches that separates the splayed collar into at least two elongated segments, a transition portion on the exterior of the collar, and a sliding annular locking ring. The locking ring slides on the collar from the proximal end over the transition portion to the distal segments so that the annular locking ring forces the splayed and segmented distal portions radially inward to grip the second connector.

    摘要: A securable collar is used with two connectors to prevent the inadvertent disconnection of IV tubing sets. The securable collar includes a housing supported by one of the connectors, a radial flange extending from the housing, a collar having a frustum-shape, two notches that separate the collar into two longitudinal segments, a transition portion on the exterior of the collar, and a sliding annular locking ring. The locking ring slides on the collar from a small diameter portion over the transition portion to a larger diameter portion. The annular locking ring compresses the larger diameter portion to pivot the longitudinal segments radially inward at the radial flange to grip the second connector.

A 3-D visualization tool that simulates 3-D space on a monitor interfaces with a security database which relationally associates security events with the network elements affected thereby. The security events are visually depicted in a first section of simulated 3-D space and the network elements are depicted in a second section of simulated 3-D space. Relationship lines are drawn between displayed categories of security events and the displayed network elements in order to aid an analyst to visualize the impact of security breaches on the organization. Various other properties of the network elements may also be displayed such as the role of the network device within the organization, and the business functions of the organization.

    摘要: A thin flexible fluid-tight cover of PVC is bonded to a rigid port of a diluent container which is to be subjected to heat sterilization. The cover includes an outer flange for bonding to a complementary surface around the port, and a removable section for spanning the port. The removable section includes a central flexible diaphragm portion and a cylindrical wall portion. The diaphragm portion has at least one annular convolution whereby the diaphragm section is axially expandable by flexing of the convolution. A tear line is provided in a frangible section which joins the cylindrical wall portion to the outer flange. The cylindrical wall portion of the cover is disposed adjacent the outer surfaces of an abutment wall on the port to provide stress relief against rupture of the tear line from stresses generated in the cover during sterilization. A narrow post element is located adjacent the wall portion for concentrating manual pulling forces from an attached pull ring to a limited segment of the tear line.
